New Zealand is a totally incredible country to visit! Not only does it have some beautiful cities, like; Wellington<\/a> and Auckland<\/a> but it also has a heap of the best beaches in New Zealand, too. <\/p>\n

It’s the kind of country that’s got a little something for everyone and a perfect place to explore on a trip away. This is exactly why I wanted to share some of my top spots for you to visit once you arrive.<\/p>\n

Now, I’ve tried to include a few from all across New Zealand. This way, it doesn’t really matter where you’re visiting, you’re bound to find one or two of the best beaches in New Zealand close by.   <\/p>\n

Best of all, after heading out on some of the greatest hikes<\/a> in the country, you’ll be able to reward yourself with a little dip in some of these gorgeous spots. Honestly, New Zealand is beautiful. <\/p>\n

With that in mind, take a look at some of the best beaches in New Zealand to visit on your next trip here. Have the best time! <\/p>\n

1.) Hot Water Beach<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Arriving to Hot Water Beach is usually best a couple of hours before (or after) low tides.<\/p>\n

You see, Hot Water Beach has become one of the best beaches in New Zealand to create your own heated paddle pools. This is exactly why you should also bring a shovel with you.<\/p>\n

The beach is totally lovely on a sunny day, though it can get crowded at certain peak or holiday times. <\/p>\n

2.) Piha Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Easily one of the best beaches in New Zealand, Piha is considered by many to be the birthplace of Malibu board riding.<\/p>\n

Still, to this day, it’s considered one of the best surfing beaches in all of New Zealand.<\/p>\n

In addition to the beach, Piha as a whole is also home to some rather amazing landscapes and trails which is great if you’re fancying a hike in New Zealand’s<\/a> natural wilderness.<\/p>\n

Honestly, the whole area here is stunning.<\/p>\n

3.) Ninety Mile Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Now, the clue is in the name on this beach!<\/p>\n

The long stretch of the Ninety Mile Beach is almost in itself more than enough reason to want to visit This is especially true if you’re looking for one of the best beaches in New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Plus, the sand-dunes are also perfect for body-boarding and sand-surfing. Although, I have to admit, I get totally exhausted after about 3-times of going up and down.<\/p>\n

4.) Gillespies Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Due to this being a pebbly beach, Gillespies is not quite as popular as the other best beaches in New Zealand.<\/p>\n

That being said, the pebbles are part of the reason why you need to venture to Gillespies Beach as it not only makes for a beautiful sight, it is also home to an amazing view of the beautiful Fox Glacier.<\/p>\n

Remember, a beach doesn’t have to be a sandy, Maldives-like place to still be totally beautiful. New Zealand is testament to this. <\/p>\n

5.) Koekohe Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Truth be told, one of the main reasons why Koekohe Beach is so popular is due to the huge Moeraki boulders<\/em> that are partially submerged into the sands.<\/p>\n

Measuring up to 3 meters in diameter, these large egg-shaped stones also a sight to see once travelling around this area of New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Plus, you can actually grab a gorgeous sunset from here, too. Put these two things together and you’ve got one of the best beaches in New Zealand. <\/p>\n

6.) New Chums Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

New Chums Beach is one of the best beaches in New Zealand if you love a more sandy beach. You see, the while bay has some stunning views and stretches of white sandy bays to chill out and relax on a sunny afternoon. <\/p>\n

Though, remember, make sure to top up on that sunscreen. The sun is surprisingly strong here. <\/p>\n

7.) Allan\u2019s Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Allan\u2019s Beach is one of the more remote, but still one of the best beaches in New Zealand. <\/p>\n

Though, don’t let this stop you from visiting as it’s totally gorgeous and well worth a gander if you’re already in the region. <\/p>\n

Also, don’t forget that the whole area around here has plenty of hikes<\/a>, too. Though, as with all hikes, stay safe and follow local advice. <\/p>\n

Heading on one of the treks is totally worth it, especially as you might see some resident seals, too.<\/p>\n

8.) Scott\u2019s Beach<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Best<\/a>Scott\u2019s Beach is located in the Kahurangi National Park, which makes for a totally protected shoreline and beach to enjoy. <\/p>\n

This beach is stunning and the jagged rocks and the fine sandy beaches definitely make it one of the best beaches in New Zealand to enjoy. Just make sure to plan your trip (and snacks) well in advance.<\/p>\n

This area has limited access to foodie spots, especially if you’re visiting during the less busy times. <\/p>\n

9.) Paihia Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ideal for water activities such as swimming, kayaking and sailing, Paihia Beach is a popular destination for locals and visitors, too.<\/p>\n

Now, it might not be on par with some of the other best beaches in New Zealand but this is really easy to visit. Take sunset stroll or head out after having a bite in town. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for that. <\/p>\n

10.) Wharariki Beach <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Wharariki Beach is perhaps one of the best beaches in New Zealand. Now, I know you’re never supposed to just have one favourite… but this is mine! <\/p>\n

Wharariki Beach is totally gorgeous, especially with the geological formations and cliffs that line the shoreline.<\/p>\n

It’s the kind of place that’s perfect to visit on a sunny day, with friends. Honestly, I think you’ll love it too! <\/p>\n

Oh, also, whilst you’re here, definitely look out for the rather cheeky seals scampering around, too.<\/p>\n

Though, as with all wildlife, keep your distance and avoid any behaviour that would disrupt their natural habitat on the beach itself. <\/p>\n
