Well, I hadn’t till just before we left for Gdansk!<\/p>\n

Sopot is a charming sea side town about 20 – 30 minutes away (by car) from Gdansk. It’s also accessible by train but the taxis are cheap enough – especially so if you share it with others like the 4 of us did.<\/p>\n

We arrived in Sopot on a sunny yet cloudy afternoon. It was such an odd combination but made for quite a dramatic combo.<\/p>\n

We made a beeline straight for the shore.<\/p>\n

\"Ever<\/a><\/p>\n

Being here did make me wish we’d arrived a few months earlier in the height of summer so we could make the most of being by the sea side.<\/p>\n

\"Ever<\/a><\/p>\n

See what I mean about that dramatic weather?<\/p>\n

We essentially just ambled along the pier with no real aim but to see as much of Sopot as we possibly could.<\/p>\n

\"Ever<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Ever<\/a><\/p>\n

Apparently, according to one our friends who’s been to Sopot quite a few times, the hotel below is THE place to stay.<\/p>\n

Lloyd and Georgia went off in search of souvenirs… Chris and I went off in search of ice cream. Ice cream by the sea side is a must, I reckon.<\/p>\n

We left the pier and headed on into town, in search of one of Sopot’s iconic buildings, Krzywy Domek<\/em> (also known as “The Crooked House<\/em>“)…<\/p>\n

… no points for guessing why!<\/p>\n

We decided to rest our weary feet in a cosy cafe called Dwie Zmiany…<\/p>\n

… which is such an eclectic little place and a really great stop in when you’re in Sopot!<\/p>\n

Before we knew it, it was time to head back to Gdansk<\/a>, re-caffeinated and rejuvenated with that fresh sea breeze! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
