Budapest is probably one of those cities on everybody’s travel list and regardless of where it sits on that list, it’s one that people seem to return from very impressed and eager to go back. The city is rich in history, stunning architecture and some of the best views in Europe. I already did a post on\u00a0what to see in Budapest here<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0a second post on the sights to see\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0and touched on it briefly here on where to eat\u00a0the food<\/a>\u00a0but this time, I’m all about where to stay. This place of course is the Corinthia Hotel.<\/p>\n

When I was looking for hotels to stay in Budapest, I did the typical search for dates and couldn’t believe it when the hotel popped up. I think I did a double take when I saw the price and then kinda panicked thinking it was a mistake on the site and I would have to book immediately to lock the price in. I’m all about making my money stretch so I\u00a0booked it straight away! I think back then it was around \u00a370 a night.<\/p>\n

Turns out, it wasn’t just the hotel that was affordable, Budapest is generally an affordable city to visit when you’re coming from places like the UK so this is definitely a place to splurge (seriously, even the meals at ‘expensive’\u00a0restaurants – will leave you shocked at how affordable they are).<\/p>\n

WHY WOULD YOU STAY HERE?<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.) It’s one of the most luxurious hotel chains on the market and yet it’s one of the most affordable 5 star hotels you can\u00a0stay in thanks to the exchange rate (definitely for the UK, most of Europe, The US… etc). Point is, if you tried staying in the same hotel in London (they have one here), it would cost you a tiny fortune so you might as well give that 5 star living a try while you’re in Budapest.<\/p>\n

2.) It’s so centrally located. You honestly can’t beat it for the sights.<\/p>\n

3.) The spa facilities are pretty good here so make some time for a little rest and relaxtion.<\/p>\n

4.) There are free sweets everywhere. This may have changed since I last visited but I kept stuffing my pockets with these sweets whenever I went past them (Yes! I’m that kind of hotel guest… \ud83d\ude42 In my defence though, I’ve got one serious sweet\u00a0tooth!)<\/p>\n

5.) It looks AND\u00a0feels grand which sort of starts to rub off on you. \ud83d\ude42 I felt so fancy walking around in Budapest after leaving the hotel… until the rain came pouring in and broke my \u00a31 umbrella. (I’m sorry, I refuse to pay more for umbrellas, they always break… or I forget them everywhere). \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
