A trip to Berlin’s Flohmarkt in Mauerpark is one of the things everyone seems to recommend that you do. As you might recall from our\u00a0instagram<\/a>, we were very recently in Berlin with a huge bunch of friends – there were about 11 of us in total and after a day or seeing the sights, followed by a long night out – we figured we would take things a little slower (during the day at least) and head over to the Flohmarkt.<\/p>\n

I had no idea what to expect and although I’d heard the Flohmarkt was ‘awesome’- I was left thinking “How awesome can a flea market possibly be???” (For the uninitiated, Flohmarkt is Flea market in English)<\/p>\n

\"These<\/a><\/p>\n

Turns out, it can be pretty awesome for one main reason – (Reason Number 1)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>they have anything and everything under the sun available here. Like seriously, even if you’re a skeptic like me and not looking for anything at all, you will find something here that will take your fancy.<\/p>\n

Here’s are a few more reasons why you need to visit the Flohmarkt in Mauerpark when you’re in Berlin…<\/p>\n

2.) The are random adorable stalls here. I don’t even know what she’s selling – cakes? Soaps, perhaps? Who even cares? It’s just so darn cute! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

My cousin found this mouse trap… and promptly proceeded to get her finger stuck in it! I laughed for a good 5 minutes before offering to help her with it.<\/p>\n

3.) There’s food in the market too! Lots of it. And it’s pretty good too! \ud83d\ude42 This is a great place to get a bratwurst or two.<\/p>\n

4.) You’ll find some actual gems! Like this… er, I’m gonna say, guitar. It looks like a guitar f some sort. I don’t know much about musical instruments but it looks pretty unique to say the least.<\/p>\n

5.) You’ll find every Lego character imaginable here!<\/p>\n

6.) It’s a favourite for locals and tourists alike.<\/p>\n

7.) There’s a beer garden! Need I say more?<\/p>\n

8.) There’s karaoke in Mauerpark and it is amazing! Everyone turns up for it – it’s an event in itself.<\/p>\n
