Italian sunsets are the stuff legends are made of. We managed to prove this over and over again on our road trip across Italy but the very first time we saw this was perhaps the most unexpected of them all.<\/p>\n

For years, I’d harboured this dream of driving across Tuscany with no real aim but to see tiny little Tuscan towns and villages.  It’s no mistake why Florence is one of my favourite cities in the world – I’m officially madly in deep lust (perhaps even love) with Tuscany.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, when we left Cinque Terre (and Pisa) and drove through the Tuscan countryside, I was very much in my element. It’s great to see Tuscany, full stop however to see it in the rickshaw<\/a> – with the sun on your skin (when you put the roof-down) and the wind in your face, was a truly indescribably amazing way to experience Tuscany the way I’d always wanted to.<\/p>\n

Gabriele suggested a pit stop in the town of San Miniato and, in what was proving to be a reoccurring theme on this trip, I said yes.<\/p>\n

As soon as arrived, I was already head over heels with San Miniato. Here’s why….<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Now I thought the sunset from San Miniato was fantastic but after we left and slowly made our way over to Florence, we looked back and immediately had to find a field to pull over into.<\/p>\n

The sun had turned the skies into the most amazing hues of oranges and blues imaginable!<\/p>\n

It was absolutely glorious and the perfect cherry on the cake of what had already been quite a fantastic day driving across Italy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
