This is one of those posts that took on a life of its own.<\/p>\n

It was just one of those days when you find yourself wandering around London with absolutely no plans whatsoever. The sun was shining (which, no matter how sunny it gets all summer, is still a big deal) and so I decided to make the most of it and meet friends for lunch… which was just an excuse to walk around central London really…<\/p>\n

I literally had just my iPhone, keys and wallet with me so all the photos I have are iPhone photos. I really need to stick to this new resolution I made to take my camera around with me more often…<\/p>\n

After lunch, we had some time to kill and decided to pop into this art gallery just off Regent Street…<\/p>\n

It was a perfect afternoon where nothing serious was achieved but it left you feeling truly accomplished. \ud83d\ude42 The sunshine will do that to you in London sometimes…<\/p>\n

Later that evening, we put on our gladrags and headed out to Shoreditch in search of dinner at Tramshed<\/a>. Georgia booked this a few days before for Chris’ birthday (reservations are definitely advised as this got pretty busy in the evening) and seeing as we’d all never been before, it’s safe to say we were looking forward to it.<\/p>\n

Tramshed is located in a disused (you guessed it) Tramshed! \ud83d\ude42 The shed itself dates as far back as 1905 though it certainly looks nothing like it did back then.\u00a0As you walk in, the first thing you notice is that large Damien Hirst ‘Cock and Bull’ piece standing smack in the centre of it. The huge space is absolutely fantastic (everyone seems so crammed into little spaces in London that the space seemed to make such a refreshing change…<\/p>\n

We started off with Yorkshire pudding with whipped chicken liver…<\/p>\n

Butter chicken with a spicy and herby mayo!<\/p>\n

\"Tramshed<\/a><\/p>\n

And pork scratchings… (I didn’t order these but I had to have one once they arrived). The food generally here was amazing! There was not a single thing that arrived on our tables that we didn’t all “Oooh” and “Aaah” over. Totally worth the hype!<\/p>\n

Cocktails were also thrown into the mix…<\/p>\n

We all went for steaks (in different forms) for mains – steak salad, T-bone, Chateau steaks…. Each steak was absolutely tender and melted like butter! *licks lips*<\/p>\n

Accompanied by salt and vinegar onion rings, minted broad\u00a0beans and fries…<\/p>\n

There’s an art gallery downstairs, by the way, for a bit of after-dinner perusal…\"Tramshed<\/a><\/p>\n

Dessert came in form of a chocolate fondue…<\/p>\n

‘Credit crunch’ ice cream and topped with warm chocolate…<\/p>\n

We rolled ourselves, totally stuffed after dinner, to the art gallery below…<\/p>\n

The pieces here ranged from the absolutely amazing to some really weird stuff…<\/p>\n

I wasn’t referring to any of the above when I said weird, I was referring to this piece below…<\/p>\n

We headed out afterwards in search of the bright lights and loud noise in Shoreditch…<\/p>\n

…which, as it turns out, was at the Red Gallery’s Red Market – Summer Tales<\/a>.\"Tramshed<\/a><\/p>\n

Before making our way over to a quiet pub for a quick drink before the tube shut!<\/p>\n

Speaking of which, how amazing will the 24 hour tube service be once it launches in a few weeks?<\/p>\n
