These are easy mistakes to make, especially if you’re not familiar with London but hopefully, this post should help you avoid potentially making these common sightseeing mistakes.<\/p>\n

This is a bit of a light-hearted post and not mean to poke fun at anyone who genuinely gets\/got confused by any of the sights below – instead.<\/p>\n

Now, you should have all the knowledge you need to quickly edit those Facebook<\/a> or Instagram<\/a> check-in locations to the correct ones!<\/p>\n

In any case, please grant me the permission to be that douchebag who feels the need to correct tiny (and quite frankly inconsequential) mistakes people make in London.<\/p>\n

1.) This is what London Bridge actually looks like<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The famous bridge is not London Bridge but instead Tower Bridge.<\/p>\n

As you can tell, although both are absolutely beautiful, they’re both very different buildings. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

3.) The Tate Modern and Tate Britain are two different places<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Chances are that you’re maybe looking for the Tate Modern (located around St Paul’s) as it is the more popular one that most people know about.<\/p>\n

Both are however totally FREE to visit and dedicated to some stunning art. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

4.) What you think is Big Ben is actually not<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You can’t see Big Ben as that’s the bell in the Tower (which rings every hour on the hour). The tower itself is called the “Elizabeth Tower” (formerly called “Clock Tower”).<\/p>\n
