Prague<\/a> is an incredible city to visit! Though, with so many things to do and places to see, it can be quite costly. You see, it’s the kind of city where you can sink a load of dosh if you’re not too careful. This is exactly why we wanted to share some of the free things to do in Prague on your next trip. <\/p>\n

You see, Prague<\/a> is the heart of Europe, which makes it the perfect European city<\/a> to explore on a wider road trip around the continent. That being said, it’s also great for a city break, especially with all the free things to do in Prague. It’s the kind of city where, if you’re considerate with your budget, you’ll save a whopping amount. <\/p>\n

With hundreds of years of history, you honestly won’t be spoilt for choice and there are lots of budget-friendly options and tours that’ll take you exploring all over Prague.<\/p>\n

That’s one of the coolest things about Prague. It’s got a heap to do and you’ll really be spoilt for choice. <\/p>\n

Anyway, I’m rambling on right now, but I really wanted to share some totally cheap options and free things to do in Prague whatever your budget. After all, there’s never any shame in saving a little money! <\/p>\n

Have the best trip around the city. You’ll have so much fun.<\/p>\n

1.) Stroll the Royal Route<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Royal Route is a route through the historical centre of Prague. Czech Kings were going through this route on the way to the castle for their crowning. This is exactly the reason why this line is called the Royal route.<\/p>\n

If you decide to go this way, you cannot miss any important Prague highlights such as the Old Town square with its famous Astrological clock.<\/p>\n

Plus, you’ll get to see Charles Bridge which was built way back in the 14th century. This is all before your final stop at Prague Castle, the President’s seat with its beautiful garden.<\/p>\n

2.) Relax at Let\u0144a Park<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Letn\u00e1 park is located above the city so you have to walk many steps to reach it. If you do you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Vltava river and all the Prague roofs and a great place to stroll on a sunny day. <\/p>\n

Letn\u00e1 is a great spot for a picnic, barbecue evening or for doing some outdoor activities such as inlining, running or playing football.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, you can sit down in one of a few restaurants with a beer or sausage.<\/p>\n

3.) Spot the Petrin Lookout Tower<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This tower is located at the Pet\u0159\u00edn hill that is 327 m high hill in Prague centre. You can use the cableway or walk up the hill to reach it.<\/p>\n

The entrance ticket costs only \u20ac5.50 and the most awesome thing is that this price includes also the entrance to the mirror labyrinth located next to the tower.<\/p>\n

You cannot miss it. It is so much fun and relatively cheap. <\/p>\n

4.) See the Royal Garden<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Are you tired of the crowds? Looking for some peaceful place with not so many people.. visiting the Royal Garden in the morning is the place for you.<\/p>\n

Perched near Prague Castle, this complex offers you a place for a long peaceful walk with a wonderful view of the city.<\/p>\n

Oh yeah, and it’s one of the best free things to do in Prague; so you won’t spend a penny! <\/p>\n

5.) Gorge at the Farmer Markets<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you do not want to eat every day in a restaurant or hotel, go to the farmer market, buy as many foods as you are able to eat and you can make a picnic in Letn\u00e1 park mentioned above.<\/p>\n

These markets<\/a> take place in many locations throughout the whole city and you cannot miss them.<\/p>\n

Local farmers are selling here their products so you can be sure to get only the best quality. They sell fruit, vegetable, wine, beer, smoked meat, cheese and many others.<\/p>\n

It’s a great way to get a really cheap lunch and one of the free things to do in Prague if you want a stroll around a local market.<\/p>\n

6.) See John Lennon’s Wall<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This wall represented the hate and fight against the communism in the 80s. Young people wrote their anti-regime messages here which led to the many clashes between police and students.<\/p>\n

Nowadays the wall represents the freedom, love and peace and everybody is allowed to express themselves by spraying graffiti on it. It’s one of the free things to do in Prague that’s really easy to spot. <\/p>\n

7.) Explore the Zoo<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Zoo in Prague is one of the most beautiful zoos I have ever seen. It was opened in 1931 and in 2002 a huge part of it was destroyed by flooding.<\/p>\n

Then the Zoo went through the huge reconstruction and these days the expositions are new and so beautiful that supports conservation and education projects, too. You will find here all the animals you can imagine living as close to their natural conditions as possible.<\/p>\n

Yes, this spot might not be free, but it’s really cheap when you consider you’d spend a whole day exploring. <\/p>\n

8.) Gorge on all the food in Prague<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"8<\/a><\/p>\n

When you are in Prague you have to try some typical Czech food and of course world-famous Czech beer. A restaurant called Kula\u0165\u00e1k<\/a> has it all. It is located near the metro station Dejvick\u00e1 and it offers the best of the Czech cuisine.<\/p>\n

For me, the roasted duck with dumplings and white cabbage is a must! All washed down with an ice-cold Pilsner.<\/p>\n

Better still, ir won’t break the bank! Prices are also quite cheap. For instance,  the duck with beer, you will pay \u20ac12-20 (minus a tip).<\/p>\n

Hotels to book in Prague<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For some of the best hotels in Prague, make sure to check out the stunning Emblem Hotel<\/a> for a little bit of luxury, the Grand Hotel Prague Towers<\/a> for their amazing rooms and the Art Deco Imperial Hotel<\/a> for the design.<\/p>\n
