This post started off on another tangent but very quickly evolved when I looked through the photos.<\/p>\n

Initially, it was gonna show you an aspect of San Sebastian<\/a> I really enjoyed (the eating and drinking) but when I started looking through the photos, I realised there’s no way I could do that without showing you what San Sebastian is really like.<\/p>\n

Also, I couldn’t fit all the photos in one post without this post taking ages to load so I’m gonna have to cover our gluttony in another post!<\/p>\n

Right, now on with San Sebastian! Shortly after checking into Hotel Londres<\/a>, we were itching to go check out the city and so after some ‘ooohing’ and ‘aaahing’ over the hotel rooms and the view<\/a>, we ventured out into the city…<\/p>\n

First stop – city hall!\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

As though the city wasn’t pretty enough, I got distracted along the way by some sweet stuff! But this post isn’t about food so let’s quickly skip past this (it’s already making me hungry!)\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

The city streets were filled with lots of family and friends out for food and drinks which is more of ‘an event’ than in most places of the world.\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Check out the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Chorus – pretty impressive, right?\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

We popped into a few local bars for drinks and nibbles…<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

We the went to check out the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Chorus which I found pretty brilliant!<\/p>\n

Check out San Sebastian Cathedral in the distance!<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Mmmmmm…. ice cream!<\/p>\n

Which was the perfect companion for a walk on the beach! Perfect until it was all gone! (Boo!)\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Family life is such an important part of life in the Basque Country…\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Everyone and every pet was in the water!<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Especially this guy who was attracting a lot of attention for this jumping off the bridge in some pretty impressive leaps and twists…. (I don’t know what those things are officially called!)<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

See, I told you everyone was jumping into the water!<\/p>\n

As the sun dipped across the horizon, we went off to check out these cool vents which blew air up when the waves came crashing it! Milou<\/a> was having a blast getting herself some hair-apy (hair therapy! Yes? No? \ud83d\ude09 )\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Patrizia<\/a> was loving it too!<\/p>\n

The denim jacket and black jeans combo was not planned but looked pretty good methinks!\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

We also checked out the Comb of the Wind. They’re metal structures wedges into the rocks and they’re quite impressive to see in person!\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Finally, we made our way back to the hotel for a quick change before dinner! But before that, we took in all the sights across the pier! It’s so beautiful at night! \"So<\/a><\/p>\n

\"So<\/a>I tried to hold off talking about food for long enough but I can’t wait till I can show you that soon! The Basque country is pretty much a food region and it is amazing!<\/p>\n
