Monument Valley is another great iconic American landmark – set across two states, it is easily one of America’s most memorable landmarks – you’ve probably seen it in films, magazines, on TV adverts or in music videos and trust me, it’s so much more impressive in person!<\/p>\n

\"Monument<\/a><\/p>\n

Monument Valley is actually part of the Colorado Plateaus, and the buttes (which I wanna call ‘mountains’ but I am not allowed to \ud83d\ude42 ) are incredibly large and breath-taking.<\/p>\n

In any case, it is definitely worth visiting! I heartily recommend it, and here’s photo evidence as to why!<\/p>\n

HOW TO GET THERE:<\/strong> Drive!<\/p>\n

TIPS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.) Take cash with you! There are no cash machines nearby and they only take cash (at least that’s what they said when we were there – things might change soon)<\/p>\n

2.) Get a 4 X 4 or a similarly big car! Don’t even try to use a regular car, it might seem okay for the first bit but eventually, you’re guaranteed to ruin a regular (low) car if you drive it there.<\/p>\n

3.) Take warm clothing with you! Regardless of the weather, it can get unexpectedly cold when you’re there so take some warm clothing with you. Seeing as you’ll be driving anyway – worst-case scenario, if you don’t need it, you can just leave it in the car.<\/p>\n

4.) Take food and drinks with you! There isn’t much very nearby even after driving for a while so it’s best to arrive with everything you need. This includes petrol for your car! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

5.) It seems counter-intuitive but takes some sunscreen with you as well! You’ll need it should you decide to venture out of the car and explore in more details.<\/p>\n

6.) An added bonus: 4 Corners Monument (where you get to be in 4 states at the same time – Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah) is about 1 hour and 30 minutes up the road. It’s not the biggest sights but if you have the time, it’s worth a visit.<\/span><\/p>\n
