 This was my first trip to Budapest and I had no idea what to expect (I was flying by the seat of my pants a bit on this holiday) – so it was a very nice welcome to have a nice black Mercedes  ready to whisk me off from the airport to where I would be calling home for a few nights – The Corinthia Hotel.<\/a><\/p>\n

The car cost a little extra (but not much more than the price of a bus especially if you are travelling with others) so it made a lot of sense – the only downside was that I was so comfortable that I fell asleep pretty much from the airport till we got to the hotel and so didn’t get to see much on the drive in!<\/p>\n

I made up for this on the way back though! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The Corinthia Hotels are 5 star hotels typically and as you can imagine, I had my expectations set high and this one did not disappoint – the staff were really helpful and courteous, the location was perfect for exploring the city and the facilities were fantastic!<\/p>\n

It’s so nice to come back to your hotel after hours of walking and just pop into the pool or unwind in the steam room.  <\/p>\n

I’m a sucker for freebies so I may have overdone it slightly with the sweets at the reception, I kept finding them everywhere when I got back to the UK – which in retrospect was always a nice surprise!<\/p>\n
