Niagara Falls is pretty incredible to see, and hear for that matter! In fact, I’m almost certain you’ll hear its roar before even get close. And let’s be honest, that’s why you go to the falls, right? To experience them. With that in mind, I wanna share some really quick and easy tips I discovered on where and how to get the best view of Niagara Falls during your visit.<\/p>\n

If it’s your first time, you’ll no doubt be looking for all the things you need to do, when to visit and how to find the best view of Niagara Falls<\/a>. With that in mind, I wanted to show you some easy ways to find these views and how you can get them from the Canadian side.<\/p>\n

Some viewpoints are totally free, others you’ll have to pay, whatever the case, you’ll then know what works best for you.<\/p>\n

\"Best<\/a><\/p>\n

Take a look at the places with the best view of Niagara Falls from Canda.<\/p>\n

1.) Get within metres of Horseshoe Falls<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"This<\/a><\/p>\n

One of the easiest and closest points you can get to the falls is right at Table Rock Welcome Center. First things first, if you’ve arrived by car, pop it into the Falls Parking Lot, yep, there is a charge but it’s one of the most convenient spots for the best view of Niagara Falls up.<\/p>\n

Now, once you’re here, head right over to the outside promenade by the Table Rock Welcome Center and you’ll be literally a few metres from the very edge of Horseshoe Falls.<\/p>\n

One thing to note, don’t ever climb over the barriers to ‘dangle your feet over the falls’ that some people have started to do. It’s not only totally reckless but you’re putting your own life and that of others like the police that need to escort you away. Treat the falls with the respect they deserve.<\/p>\n

2.) See the falls by helicopter<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So, this was possibly one of the coolest and probably the best view of Niagara Falls, especially if you want to have a really unique viewpoint. We did this with Niagara Helicopters<\/a>, and it was the best 12-minute tour ever.<\/p>\n

What’s good is that you’ll literally follow the Canadian and United States borderline for the whole flight path. This means you’re guaranteed to see Horseshoe Falls, America Falls, the Whirlpool, Niagara Rapids and Rainbow Bridge – making it a pretty efficient way to see everything.<\/p>\n

The only thing to consider is that the helicopters won’t be able to fly during certain weather conditions (so it’s always worth having a backup option, too).<\/p>\n

3.) Journey Behind the Falls<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Journey Behind the Falls<\/a> is possibly one of the most unique and the best view of Niagara Falls if you want to get nearer the base.<\/p>\n

To get down to these underground tunnels, you’ll need to head into the Table Rock Welcome Centre and head down within the lifts. Tickets cost around $35CAD and can be purchased on-site or through the Adventure Pass that operates here.<\/p>\n

Wander through the tunnels and make sure to head out onto the Observation Platform. Just be prepared for a little spray!<\/p>\n

4.) Head up the Skylon Tower <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Okay, so the Skylon Tower<\/a> is probably something you’ll see on your approach to Niagara Falls; it’s the big ‘needle’ that’s about 775 feet above the falls itself. Now, you can either head here just for the observation deck (which we did) or you can head up for dinner at their revolving restaurant.<\/p>\n

It’s certainly a cracking vista and possibly the best view of Niagara Falls as it looks right down into Horseshoe Falls itself. The lines for the elevators can get quite long, but don’t worry, they go down pretty fast. It’s a great place to see the falls if the weather takes a turn for the worse, too, as they have an indoor and outdoor area on the observation deck.<\/p>\n

5.) See American Falls by Queen Victoria Park <\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the good things about being on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls is that you get to stand right in front of the American Falls. Now, to get here, you’ll need to head across to the promenade area next to Queen Victoria Park. From here, you’ll be smack-bang in front of the falls and a mere walking distance from the Hornblower Niagara Boat area, too.<\/p>\n

Also, if you’re looking for parking here, there’s a big lot right next to the Skylon Tower (about 5 5-minute walk from the edge).<\/p>\n

6.) Board the Hornblower Niagara<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Similar to the Maid of the Mist tour (on the United States side), the Hornblower Niagara<\/a> cruises are a great way to get up close and personal with the falls. Literally! Just make sure to grab a poncho; you will get pretty wet.<\/p>\n

I always feel like the cruises around the falls are so much fun, I’m not sure if it’s getting so close to the falls, or the fear of getting drenched – but I love it! Rest assured, though – you don’t need to get wet at all, just wrap up well or take shelter on the boat itself.<\/p>\n

7.) Best Niagara Falls View Hotels<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So, there are a few major hotels that have properties here, which means you can actually book one of the rooms with the best view of Niagara Falls<\/a>. There are about four hotels that have some of the best views (though heads up, the best view isn’t always synonymous with the best hotel).<\/p>\n

They range in price and ratings, but the ones that offer Niagara Falls view rooms are: Embassy Suites by Hilton Niagara Falls<\/a> (ask for the falls view suites), The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls<\/a> (ask for their river view rooms), Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls<\/a> (ask for their falls view rooms) and the Hilton Niagara Falls<\/a> (ask for their falls view rooms).<\/p>\n

If you’re not as bothered about a room overlooking the falls, head across to stay at Niagara-on-the-Lake<\/a>, a charming and historic town that’s so incredibly beautiful. If you are heading here, stay at 124 on Queen Hotel & Spa<\/a>. This is what we did, and it was amazing.<\/p>\n
