In keeping with our sightseeing plans Bali<\/a>, after our day exploring stunning temples<\/a> and waterfalls<\/a>, we decided to have one day off just spent relaxing! On this one day off, I decided we had to spend that day on the beach, at Sundays Beach Club in Bali. <\/p>\n

The others took some convincing, however.<\/p>\n

You see, beaches in Bali can be hit or miss, if you get the right place, it is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect place to spend a day. Get it wrong and you\u2019ll be on a dirty, grimy spot being hassled to buy souvenirs you neither want nor need.<\/p>\n

Based on a recommendation, we decided to head over to Sundays Beach Club in Bali.<\/p>\n

Being in Ubud, it was probably 1\u20132 hours away (depending on traffic) and our original plan was to get a taxi to Sundays Beach Club in Bali and a taxi back. Though considering the price, it just made sense to get our villa driver for the day.<\/p>\n

(*He insisted on sticking around the area but we were more than happy for him to just leave us there and spend the rest of the time in-between then and picking us up back at home<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Sundays Beach Club in Bali is, first of all, not open only on Sundays! Shock horror! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

\"Sundays<\/a><\/p>\n

But, secondly, it’s one of the few spots where you have to pay an entry fee into. It\u2019s part of a hotel and so is more cut off than some of the other beaches.<\/p>\n

In the past, the entry fee used to be given to you as a credit to have at the bar\/restaurant but now, half of it goes towards watersports (stand up paddling boards, snorkelling equipment\u2026etc) and the other half towards credit at the bar\/restaurant.<\/p>\n

After dragging everyone all the way across to Sundays Beach Club in Bali, I was a tad antsy at having overhyped the place but as soon as we caught glimpse of it, I knew it was exactly what we were looking for.<\/p>\n

We settled in very quickly with cocktails.<\/p>\n

Actually, that was just for Georgia and me; Lloyd and Chris decided to have beers though Lloyd quickly changed his mind and joined in.<\/p>\n

Initially, we thought the cocktails were delicious but not particularly strong.<\/p>\n

This was despite our barman having said he\u2019d added extra shots in it.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t until we stood up to get lunch that we realised he was very right indeed; they were strong!<\/p>\n

Wobbling to the lunch table, we soon sobered up over more food than we really should admit to having eaten in one sitting.<\/p>\n

The rest of the afternoon, I put the camera away and we pretty much spent it splashing around on the beach, drinking more cocktails.<\/p>\n

Though, we did switch to wine after a while and generally having the best time in the sunshine.<\/p>\n

Sundays Beach Club in Bali was being totally blissful.<\/p>\n

A little while before sunset, well and truly tipsy, we decided to try the stand-up paddleboarding.<\/p>\n

This pretty much resulted in fits of giggles as we tried to get one person on board, then 2 at a time, then 3 (we never quite got 3 on properly).<\/p>\n

Oh and then that sunset came; those glorious Balinese sunsets.<\/p>\n

It may have been the wine talking at this point but my goodness it looked absolutely gorgeous. It was the perfect farewell to a gorgeous day and a fantastic hello to a brilliant evening.<\/p>\n

Sundays Beach Club in Bali doesn\u2019t shut down with the sunset, no! <\/p>\n

Dinner\u2019s just getting started here and when you leave is entirely up to you.<\/p>\n

We kicked back and made the most of every single moment before eventually deciding to call it a day.<\/p>\n

We finished off the party in our own infinity pool overlooking the jungle (not that you could tell by the time we arrived back).<\/p>\n

Days like this are what Bali is about.<\/p>\n

I love when trips are all balanced out as this one had been so far. You know, a bit of culture and sightseeing, plus a whole lot of relaxing!<\/p>\n

We loved Sundays Beach Club in Bali. <\/p>\n
