3.) Don’t visit the cruel Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Now, this was one of the biggest mistakes I think I’ve made whilst travelling and I wrote all about it here<\/a>. This place is awful and a needlessly cruel place that doesn’t have any kind of welfare for animals. It’s a horrendous place that should be shut down.<\/p>\n

Also, there’s a famous spot near\u00a0Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage<\/a> where the elephants are brought down to bathe in the river. Be very careful. We arrived a few hours before the elephants and most of the visitors and saw the ‘handlers’ actually chaining many of the elephants with the lake. 4.) Go Stilt Fishing and visit the historic capital, Galle<\/strong><\/h3>\n
