I\u2019m going to come right out and say it; I\u2019m a sucker for a great hotel.<\/p>\n

No matter how amazing that view of the Eiffel Tower<\/a>, Edinburgh<\/a> Castle or The Northern Lights<\/a> is, going back to a dark, a dingy or uncomfortable hotel can just put such a huge dampener on a trip.<\/p>\n

It has the ability to just colour your experiences the wrong way and this is a huge part of why taking the extra time and effort to find that special place for your holidays is so worth it.<\/p>\n

In the past, the way I used to find the right place<\/em> was through a rather arduous process of searching for all<\/em> the hotels, then tediously filtering through them.<\/p>\n

Even though I\u2019d always be happy once I found the perfect place, I actually kinda started to resent the whole process.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, we wanted to share a few top spots to stay at whilst in France.<\/p>\n

1.) Ch\u00e2teau de f\u00e8re<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Nestled within the forests, relatively close to Reims, it\u2019s one stunning chateau that\u2019s overlooked by the ruins of an 800-year-old castle.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget to visit the local town of F\u00e8re-en-Tardenois too.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.) Chateau d’Artigny<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This 19th<\/sup> Century castle is nestled within its stunning grounds around near Montbazon.<\/p>\n

This chateau is easy to reach from the town of Tours. The restaurant here is pretty great too so make plenty of time to eat here.<\/p>\n

3.) Ch\u00e2teau d\u2019Isenbourg<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you love wine, you\u2019ll love Ch\u00e2teau d\u2019Isenbourg! Surrounded by vineyards, this is a gorgeous place to stay, especially if you\u2019re visiting the beautiful town of Colmar that\u2019s less than 5 km away.<\/p>\n

4.) Auberge de Cassagne<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Hugging the edge of Avignon, Auberge de Cassagne is not a typical chateau but more of a rustic farming home that\u2019s been converted into a beautiful hotel and spa.<\/p>\n

5.) Chateau de l’Ile<\/strong><\/h3>\n

10.) Ch\u00e2teau Le Cagnard<\/strong><\/h3>\n

11.) Pavillon de la Reine<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Just off Paris\u2019 oldest square, Pavillon de la Reine is a beautiful boutique property that\u2019s much more of a pretty townhouse than a chateau.<\/p>\n

Perfectly located, it\u2019s a great place to call home whilst you go off exploring some of the secret spots of Paris<\/a>.<\/p>\n
