Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in all of Nepal and a very important sight to see in Kathmandu.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s located on the old trade route with Tibet and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.<\/p>\n

After making our way through the surprisingly fast-building traffic from our first stop of the day, we arrived at almost mid-day to Boudhanath Stupa.<\/p>\n

Boudhanath is every bit as impressive as it sounds and is one of those sights in Nepal that you can see in a fairly short amount of time.<\/p>\n

When you\u2019re here, it would hardly be surprising to see a monk or two going about their business; something we hadn\u2019t really seen the entire time we\u2019d been in Nepal.<\/p>\n

You can also walk around the stupa when you\u2019re here and I definitely recommend it as it\u2019s a great way to truly appreciate its size!<\/p>\n

While we were here, we popped in very quickly to the next door temple (no cameras allowed) before going into one of the shops to finally get a souvenir Lloyd had wanted to almost the entire trip.<\/p>\n

As we leaving a procession arrived, which we stopped to check out (though we had no clue what was going on here so if you\u2019ve been to Nepal and do know \u2013 please drop us a comment below), before heading to what was one of the biggest and most sacred site in all of Nepal!<\/p>\n
