We arrived into Generalife absolutely panting after running all the way from the Alhambra<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With our flights to catch in a few hours and palace entry closing in less than an hour, speed was of the essence.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Generalife is so much smaller than the Alhambra and so after a short walk through the elaborate hedges, trees and fountains leading up the main attractions, we arrived at the The Court of la Acequia.<\/p>\n

This summer palace, albeit smaller, is no less impressive than the Alhambra and The Court of la Acequia is an absolutely stunning gem!<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

From here, you can see right through to The Alhambra and the sheer display of Arabesque intricate architecture here is spectacular!<\/p>\n

We wandered here from garden to garden, this time at a much slower pace than we\u2019d arrived (we arrived with more time to spare till closing than we\u2019d initially anticipated).<\/p>\n

Moving around, it\u2019s one beautiful structure after the other. You totally understand why this place is a UNESCO World Heritage site as you roam its open hallways.<\/p>\n

We slowly started to make our way back to the entry, choosing a different path so as to see even more of Generalife.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, by the time we left Generalife and the Alhambra and made our way slowly back to the airport, we felt totally accomplished and absolutely thrilled to be able to have seen this amazing part of Spain.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a part of Spain that not many people would expect to see (it is Arabesque after all) and is a brilliant showcase of Spain\u2019s diverse history! You definitely have to visit Granada when you\u2019re in Spain.<\/p>\n
