I’ve been meaning to share this with you for quite a few months now and somehow never quite managed to get this up until now! The place in question is Le Pop<\/a> \u2013 which is at home in the Le M\u00e9ridien<\/a>, located right on La Rambla – Barcelona’s most popular street.<\/p>\n

Now it might seem like a pretty obvious choice but boy, is it a good one.<\/p>\n

On this evening in question, after a busy day exploring the sights of Barcelona<\/a>, we made our way over to Le Pop, barely on time for our 9 pm reservation.<\/p>\n

On arrival, we were greeted by the mixologist, who very quickly welcomed us with a series of colourful and even more delicious cocktails.<\/p>\n

We couldn\u2019t figure out what we wanted and so just told him stuff we liked and he went about creating something based on our somewhat vague preferences.<\/p>\n

For example, I was going through a whole \u2018passion fruit\u2019 phase at the time and he ran with that and came back with an amazing passion fruit cocktail.<\/p>\n

I really wanna try to remember the name of all the cocktails we had but as it\u2019d been months since we visited, I can\u2019t remember it all so it appears you\u2019re gonna have to head over there to try it all. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

One thing I do remember very well is how delicious it all was!<\/p>\n

Seeing as the cocktails were pretty amazing here, we decided to stick around for dinner at the in-house restaurant CentOnze<\/a>. The four of us ordered different starters to share \u2013 traditional Catalonian dish of Pa amb tom\u00e0quet (bread, olive oil and tomato sauce), scallops, jam\u00f3n serrano (ham), beef with chimichurri sauce and patatas bravas (potatoes).<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know if the cocktails added to this \ud83d\ude09 but ever single one of these dishes was absolutely delicious. You could barely hear anything on the table for all the \u201cMmmmmm<\/em>\u201ds, \u201cYummmmm<\/em>\u201ds and \u201cOoooohhhh<\/em>\u201ds going across the entire table.<\/p>\n

We then moved on to broths, salads and pate\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026paired with red wine (though I did sneak in another bubbly cocktail while we were at it).<\/p>\n

\u2026before moving on to the absolutely delicious lamb (and beef for Georgia), slathered in the most amazing sauce (which I absolutely refuse to share \ud83d\ude00 )! If there\u2019s one thing that this place knows as well as its cocktails, its wholesome delicious food! *licks lips*(I\u2019m already hungry just looking back at this).<\/p>\n

For dessert, we went for a combination of crumble, some deconstructed cheesecakes and a chocolate delight with a red berries sorbet…<\/p>\n

\u2026finishing off the evening with lots more cocktails before heading out for a night of dancing in the city. It was Saturday night after all and a boogie seemed like almost a civic duty in a city as fun as Barcelona!<\/p>\n

Hopefully, you can now see why I highly recommend a visit to Le Pop in Barcelona when you visit this amazing city. It\u2019s such a brilliant bar and is the perfect place to start a night in the city!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
