By the time we arrived in Issigeac, we realised (and happily accepted) that France’s Dordogne Valley<\/a> is filled with some of the most picturesque villages, cities, and towns in the country.<\/p>\n

We’re talking about places that look like you’re stepping into a French fairytale and is the idea of France that we all dream about but never really get to see when we venture to all the big French cities.<\/p>\n

Life moves slowly here; neighbours know each other, take the time to say hello, and stop for a chat.<\/p>\n

Such a far cry from London, where a nod and a wry smile might be all you’d get from a neighbour you’ve lived next to for several years (generally, the more central you are in London, the more likely that this is the case).<\/p>\n

When we stepped into Issigeac in the afternoon, the sun was no longer scorching hot but just the perfect temperature to wander through the village’s many quaint streets.<\/p>\n

You’d struggle to find many other tourists here, except perhaps on a Sunday morning when the market is on. Once again, it’s one of those perfect little French villages to spend an afternoon relaxing in.<\/p>\n
