I have to admit; it felt good to be back in Cambridge<\/a>!<\/p>\n

It was like a home-coming of sorts, not least of all because of the fact that Hand Luggage Only was born in this very place.<\/p>\n

\"Returning<\/a><\/p>\n

Heading back to my college to pick up my alumni card<\/a> was just so reminiscent of arriving in Cambridge on that very first day at the start of term to pick up my student card and keys to my college room – the very same college room where an uncharacteristically laid-back day turned out the be the day Lloyd and I properly started the blog.<\/p>\n

After having a hearty breakfast, we headed off to the heart of Cambridge<\/a>, passing by visitors, students and their families having a relaxed day, punting across the river Cam.<\/p>\n

Cambridge has not lost its charm and I planned on making the most of most of my brief time here (this was the final day of our road trip and we had to be in London later that afternoon).

\"Returning<\/a><\/p>\n

The very first stop we headed to was Cambridge\u2019s most iconic, and its most recognisable, building – King\u2019s College Chapel<\/a>. This gothic building is a must see when you\u2019re in Cambridge and it\u2019s open to not just the University, but to the public as well.<\/p>\n

Leaving the chapel, we lazily wander through the grounds at King\u2019s College, before heading out to take in as many colleges as possible.<\/p>\n

\"Returning<\/a><\/p>\n

Alas, there\u2019s only so much you see here in such a limited time and as with Oxford, I promised to return to do something of a challenge I\u2019ve set myself \u2013 see all the 31 Cambridge colleges.<\/p>\n

(Believe it or not, despite studying at Cambridge, I\u2019ve still not managed to see all of the college here \u2013 I\u2019ve done quite a few of them but with some like Girton which are so far away from the city centre, I still have a decent few that I\u2019m yet to see<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Eventually, we said farewell to Cambridge and hello to bright lights of London \u2013 which welcomed us back, the same way we left \u2013 with a dramatic outpouring of rain!<\/p>\n

Glad to see you missed us London \u2013 we missed you too! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

If there\u2019s anything I\u2019ve learnt from this road trip, it\u2019s that I need to do an even longer road trip and see even more of the UK!<\/p>\n

We live in such a beautiful country and I can\u2019t wait to explore more of our amazing cities and countryside. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
