Bibury is home to arguably, the prettiest street in all of England \u2013 Arlington Row in Bibury, one of the most iconic sights in the Cotswolds and definitely one of my favourites places to visit in the UK<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It’s totally kitsch and a gorgeous throwback to the little cottages that are scattered across the countryside of England. <\/p>\n

We arrived in Bibury (straight after leaving the equally beautiful Castle Combe<\/a>), as the heat of the sun was starting to cool off and wasted no time in heading straight for Arlington Row in Bibury and its pretty little cottages.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Once we got there, I totally understood why this was a firm favourite amongst visitors to the Cotswolds.<\/p>\n

This unassuming little street is the epitome of British living.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Also, did you know you can stay in the cottages here<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Turns out you can rent them from the National Trust though I imagine the availability on them must be fairly limited due to their location.<\/p>\n

Bibury<\/a> is the only place we visited in the Cotswolds<\/a> where we didn\u2019t go to the church, we could\u2019ve. <\/p>\n

Though, at this stage, I was far too hungry and felt rather accomplished from getting to explore Arlington Row in Bibury. And with that, we skipped the church and headed off to see the best places in Oxford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Except no journey through the Cotswolds is ever that straight forward and for all our \u2018rushing off\u2019 to Oxford.<\/p>\n

Naturally, as we do, we got distracted halfway through the journey by the village of Banbury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was only the quickest whistle-stop tour through Banbury but it was enough to convince me of my need to return and spend even more time exploring the best places in the Cotswolds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Finally, at Oxford, we checked-in chucked the hand luggage into the hotel room at lightning speed and headed off in search of food.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Lloyd started off with the pate \u2013 I went for the prawns.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Followed by lamb for both of us (in the most delicious gravy ever, served with mash) \u2013 definitely one of my favourite meals of the trip!<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

We finished off with cr\u00e8me Brulee for dessert; another favourite of mine!<\/p>\n

You see, I have like 4 main \u2018go-to\u2019 desserts; I\u2019ll try anything but those 4 desserts are almost always guaranteed to be on my plate if I ever find them on a menu.<\/p>\n

Exhausted but excited to see what Oxford had to offer, we made our way back to the hotel where I promptly fell asleep, dreaming of beautiful Cotswold villages.<\/p>\n
