On our final morning at the Wood Norton<\/a>, the weather took a turn for the better!<\/p>\n

The sun came out and boy were we eager to make the most of it.<\/p>\n

We spent less time than I would usually have like at breakfast (I\u2019m a three breakfasts kinda guy) and went off in search of new places to explore in the Cotswolds<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

…as well as a chance to see what the places we saw the day before were actually like in the sunshine!<\/p>\n

We started off with the new \u2013 in the impressive village of Broadway.<\/p>\n

Broadway is one of the larger villages in the Cotswolds<\/a> and one of the more famous\/popular ones too.<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

Driving or walking through makes you realise very quickly why a trip here is totally worth it…<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the epitome of British village living! Rambling stone cottages line the streets, each one more charming than the next and don\u2019t get me started on the people! Everyone we met here was so friendly and lovely \u2013 totally free of the stress that comes from living in a city and I\u2019ve got to admit, it\u2019s hard not to be taken in by how special this place is.<\/p>\n

Oh, the sunshine as well helped put a rather different spin on things too, we could walk around a lot more (obviously) but everyone else was out and about too and the markets had all their freshly harvest produced beautifully displayed and ready to be whisked into supper all across the village.<\/p>\n

Lloyd may have found a building or two he felt he owned some claim to\u2026<\/p>\n

All the time we spent here, I just remember thinking \u201cI could really live here\u2026<\/em>\u201d. Fine, I love London \u2013 there\u2019s no where quite like our fair city as far as I\u2019m concerned, but having somewhere like this to escape to certainly hold huge appeal!<\/p>\n

Alas, we had to say farewell to Broadway and it was probably a good thing too as 10 minutes after leaving, that pesky rain started again.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, it didn\u2019t last too leaving us just enough time to sneak in one of the places we visited yesterday, for a second time<\/a>. This time we headed back to Bourton-on-the-Water.<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

Bourton-on-the-Water looks like a totally different place in the sunshine.<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

Even with the leftover rain and the river banks flowing fit to burst, it managed to be even more charming that it was the day before.<\/p>\n

In keeping with tradition, we went off in search for food here again, this time stopping at the local bakery for some good old fashioned English pies to keep us nice and merry all the way back to London.<\/p>\n

Alas, there was no more time left to sneak in any more villages or towns in the Cotswolds as our train awaited to take us back to London…
\n\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

It’s gotta be said though, despite the rain (which came back even heavier while we were on the train back to London), I knew I would have to find more and more reasons to keep returning to this absolutely beautiful part of the English countryside – it’s just such an oasis of calm and welcome respite from busy London life.<\/p>\n
