London’s  South Bank is a firm favourite with Londoners and tourists alike. It’s easily one of the best walks in London and has a pretty brilliant food market too. Many a fun afternoon in London can be spent perusing the South Bank and its delicious offerings.<\/p>\n

London’s South Bank food market was one on Friday and we figured, in celebration of the imminent start of summer, we might as well pop in!<\/p>\n

Seeing as we live in Central London, we figured we might as well make the most of the evening and walk down to the South Bank (I swear, it was sunny in London all day!)<\/p>\n

We made our way past the usual sights…<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

Where we met with Georgia…<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

…and carried on down the South Bank, stopping every so often for photos and to check out the performers.<\/p>\n

The ‘party’ was in full swing when we arrived…<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

A common rule to any food market in London<\/a> is to always do a quick lap around to see what’s on offer before you decide what to get.<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

Lap complete, we started off nice and health with some juices. (Much needed after the walk here)<\/p>\n

We did end up failing to keep to the market rule though – Lloyd happened upon a stall with crispy buttermilk chicken, chips, cheese and gravy (a British version of Canada’s poutine)…<\/p>\n

I decided to hold on to my resolve and carry on exploring the market…. until I tasted Lloyd’s and the hunger monster in me took over and I had to have the same too. (Georgia went for the same as well).<\/p>\n

Looks so messy but tastes so good!<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

With a mouth full of buttermilk chicken, we went off to taste some equally delicious cumberland sausages (don’t judge me – I was starving before I arrived).<\/p>\n

Swiftly followed by cocktails!<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

… and prosecco. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

How amazing are these little bottles? Each one has about a glassful and would be perfect party favours.<\/p>\n

I had no idea how much I love chilli jam till I tried the one at the stall here. I’m very open when it comes to food so how I’d never tasted it before this, I have no clue! At least now I know what I’ve been missing out on.<\/p>\n

As night fell, we figured we might as well finish up with hot drinks! (Before meeting friends in town for more cocktails).<\/p>\n

Lloyd went with the peanut butter hot chocolate…<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

… and I with the citrus ginger tea.<\/p>\n

\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

Being back at the market really reminds me that summer in London is just right around the corner and there’s no time in London like summer in London.<\/p>\n
