A HUGE blaze has erupted in a UK city centre – with residents forced to evacuate from their homes.
Twelve fire engines rushed to Market Street in the heart of Nottingham just after 10pm last night.

A crowd of around 40 people gathered outside a residential property, watching the thick smoke rise into the night sky and a fire brightly burning.
Nearby residents were evacuated from the area as emergency crews worked to contain the fire.
Multiple fire engines parked on the streets as crews unravelled water hoses and block off the area.
It is not known what caused the incident or whether anyone was injured.
Nottingham Fire and Rescue have told people to avoid the area and bus routes in and out of the area are said to be affected.
Upper Parliament Street, Lower Parliament Street, Market Street, King Street and Queen Street have been closed.
A spokesperson said: “We currently have 12 fire engines attending a fire at a residential property on Market Street, Nottingham.
“Roads are closed on Upper Parliament Street, Lower Parliament Street, Market Street, King Street and Queen Street.
“The NET Nottingham Tram has been stopped in both directions between Theatre Royal and Market Square.
“Please continue to avoid the area whilst we work to resolve this incident.”
