SOAP fans are in for an uninterrupted week of Weatherfield drama, as ITV’s Coronation Street schedule escapes untouched by live sport.
Throughout the week commencing Monday, October 12, both Emmerdale and Coronation Street will air in their standard slots without a single cancellation.
The clear week comes as a relief to viewers after recent international fixtures and cup ties caused frequent TV shuffles.
Fans can settle into ITV1’s “Soap Power Hour” every weeknight, with Emmerdale airing at 8pm and Coronation Street following at 8.30pm.

When will football next disrupt Coronation Street?
Midweek football fixtures frequently force ITV programmers to overhaul the evening, pushing back shows or axing episodes to accommodate live broadcasts.
But while this week offers smooth sailing, soap viewers should prepare for another schedule shuffle later in the month.
The next sporting disruption is set for Wednesday, October 28, when ITV1 airs live coverage of the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Premier League giants Liverpool take on Chelsea in a knockout tie, with kick-off at 7.45pm.
The standard 8pm and 8.30pm soap slots will be unavailable that evening.
Expect ITV to confirm alternative times or revised plans for both Emmerdale and Coronation Street as the fixture approaches.
How to watch Coronation Street early on ITVX
For fans who prefer not to wait for the evening TV broadcast, ITV provides an early streaming option.
At 7am every morning that they are scheduled to broadcast, brand-new episodes of both Coronation Street and Emmerdale drop on ITVX.
This early morning release means viewers can stream the soap power hour on smart TVs, mobile phones, or laptops ahead of the evening broadcast on ITV1.
