Canada’s Rodeo FX Taps Former MPC Film Montreal Exec For Key Corporate Role
EXCLUSIVE: Rodeo FX has appointed Émilie Dussault, best known for growing MPC Film Montreal, as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs.
The appointment comes as the Montreal-based VFX firm marks its 20th anniversary in the wake of a period of expansion into France, with the acquisition of Mikros Animation, and move into India over the last 18 months. The company’s many credits include Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Rings of Power, John Wick: Chapter 4 and Dune and more recent House of the Dragon.
Rodeo FX CEO Sébastien Moreau said Dussault’s newly created executive position reflected the company’s commitment to building and protecting its corporate platform as well as strengthening its public presence as a global leader in creative technology.
Dussault’s mandate spans two interconnected areas: government relations, public affairs and industry relations with brand, marketing and communications
“We are building a company that can compete and win on the global stage, not just creatively, but commercially and institutionally,” said Moreau. “Émilie brings exactly the kind of cross-disciplinary leadership this role demands to reflect the full ambition of what Rodeo FX is becoming. Her appointment is a defining step in how we grow.”
He credited Dussaul with bringing “a rare combination” of deal-making expertise, institutional credibility, and deep understanding of the creative industries, both as an operator and as a voice in the policy and regulatory environments that shape them.
Dussault holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production from Concordia University and a Master’s in Management from HEC Montréal. Highlights of her career include building MPC Film’s Montreal studio from the ground up in 2013 into a powerhouse of more than 1,250 artists and technicians in just five years.
She has since also served as President of both the Conseil du patronat du Québec (CPQ) and the Bureau du cinéma et de la télévision du Québec (BCTQ).
“It’s with great pride that I’m joining Rodeo FX for the next phase of its continued evolution and growth,” said Émilie Dussault. “The company already has the creative reputation, the global footprint, and the ambition to play at the highest level, and I believe even more potential lies ahead. I’m here to help unlock that.”
