Pixar New Pic ‘Ghost Market’ About Hungry Apparitions, Hits Theaters In 2028 – D23
Earlier this year, it was reported that Pixar had a new original movie, Ono Ghost Market, in the works based on Asian myths about supernatural bazaars where the living and dead interact. It’s been titled Ghost Market and it’s coming out in theaters in 2028. Disney has March 10 on reserve for a Pixar movie that year.
Originally the project was intended to be a series, but then pivoted to a feature film. Footage today showed a young boy, Kyle, walking into a dark, empty kitchen. He’s just been forced to move to Hawaii by his family. He finds a bowl of warm soup that’s been readily made. But it’s a spooky place. “Hey, do you guys take Apple Pay?” he asks. We then see him on FaceTime telling us that the movie is about “hungry ghosts” and that Ghost Market isn’t like those other scary movies.
