Google also shared numbers of how people are actually using the chatbot, with 63% of Gemini users talking directly to the assistant using the voice feature. Plus, Gemini now generates more than 150 million images every day, according to Google.
Google is rolling out new features to make it easier for users to contribute local knowledge to Maps. Most notably, Gemini can now create captions when users are looking to share a photo or video about a place.
The feature lets users connect Google accounts like Gmail and Photos to get personalized answers.
Google is adding “Skills” to Chrome, letting users save and reuse AI prompts across websites. The feature builds on Gemini’s browser integration.
You can share anything on their screen with Gemini to get help with what they’re looking at in the moment, including local files.
That means its AI images can be created using Gemini’s understanding of your likes and interests, without those having to be explicitly noted in the prompt.
Google is rolling out Gemini in Chrome in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. The company is rolling this feature out to both desktop and iOS in all of these countries except Japan.
The AI Overviews will offer instant summaries pulled from across multiple emails.
