Galaxy S26 is getting one of the top Z Fold 8 features
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is all set to get one of the major additions to the company’s recent foldable refresh.
When the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 landed in shops last month, they brought with them the company’s One UI 9 interface on top of Google’s Android 17.
One of the main additions here was FanCam, which let you track a subject through a wide shot, reframing around them in an aspect ratio of your choosing. You could even film your live reaction at the same time.
Now that feature is available on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, with the One UI 9 beta having commenced its rollout on 28 August.

Away from FanCam, the One UI 9 beta brings Samsung’s enhanced Now Brief tool to its non-foldable flagship range. These now include security and privacy insights.
Now Nudge has also been enhanced, supplying smarter and more contextual suggestions during everyday interactions.
If you’re enrolled in the Galaxy S26 series One UI 9 beta program, you should already have received a notification to download the new version.
Those who want to sign up now need to download and sign up via the Samsung Members app.
Samsung Galaxy S25 joins the beta party
It’s not just Samsung Galaxy S26 users who can now download the One UI 9 beta.
As Tarun Vats points out, the One UI 9 beta is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S25 users in the US, UK, and Korea from today.
If you own any of these S25 devices, head into the Samsung Members app and check whether your update is ready.
