Carved into the side of a mountain by local villagers, the Guoliang Tunnel Road in China is a marvel of engineering. This 0.75-mile-long tunnel features windows cut into the rock, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Taihang Mountains.
However, its narrow width and lack of lighting make it a risky journey. The road was constructed in the 1970s to connect the remote village of Guoliang to the outside world, and it remains a testament to human determination and ingenuity.
