LONGSHOT
WILD THOUGHTS (3.40 Newmarket)
He won with something in hand at Ayr last week on soft ground but a quicker surface suits too. He is well drawn and sees out this trip strongly.
THIEF
POLYXENA (1.22 Newmarket) has won both starts nicely and can take this hike in class in her stride. Have an each-way double with FANDOM (2.10 Haydock) who will enjoy dropping to this trip and has had a nudge down the weights.
PRO BETS
SUPER SPEED: SUN GODDESS (2.27 Newmarket) clocked a good time when winning at The Curragh last time out.
TOP TEAM: INDIAN RIVER (5.30 Market Rasen) has won all three starts when ridden by Brian Hughes.
EYECATCHER: HYPNOTISED (5.55 Southwell) went close in a big field at Doncaster last time when finishing strongly and won’t be far away.
GAMBLED ON: IMPASTO (4.35 Haydock) was well backed on debut at Ascot last time before finishing a promising second.
NEWMARKET PLACEPOT
THE Placepot is a bet where you select a horse to be placed in the FIRST SIX races of any meeting. You can pick more than one horse in a race – you just multiply the number of selections in each race to calculate your stake. So for staking it’s 2x2x1x2x2x2 which adds up to 32 lines.
You can stake what you want upwards from 5p a line which would cost a total of £1.60. 10p a line is £3.20 and so on. Provided at least one in each race is placed, we get a payout!
