A POPULAR British card chain with over 150 UK stores has officially closed its doors today.
In the run-up to the closure, the store slashed the price of cards, ornaments and gifts by as much as 70 per cent.

Card Centre, located in Neath Port Talbot town centre in South Wales has shut its doors for the final time today.
The news of the closure was shared on a local Facebook community group for Neath, where shoppers suggested the last day of trading would be today.
This comes after Card Centre launched a 70 per cent off “everything must go” sale on greeting cards and gifts inside the store.
Shoppers have voiced their sadness at the closure of Card Centre, with one saying it was “another nail in the coffin for Neath Town Centre”.
Others said “another one bites the dust” in the response to the closure, with another saying it was “such a shame!”
Locals in the market town of Neath have said goodbye to a number of stores in recent years, including famous brands such as M&S closing in 2024 and New Look in August 2025.
In 2014, 14 of Card Centre’s stores were taken over by similar brand Card Zone, primarily in Welsh locations such as Cardiff, Swansea and Bridgend.
Cardzone has faced nine closures already this year, including Blackpool, Chesterfield and Didcot.
More recently, Cardzone in Sheffield closed on September 5, with another location in Witham closing at the end of the month.
Clintons Cards, which is also owned by the group behind Cardzone, recently announced it would shutter another branch in Romford by December.
The Sun has approached Cardzone for comment.
