ANTI-migrant protesters used a computer- generated radio broadcast to threaten “severe consequences” for letting small boats into the UK.
An anonymous transmission from so-called UK Patriots was broadcast to shipping near Portsmouth at about 8.50pm on Sunday.

The message, in an AI-generated American voice, threatened to “target commercial shipping and the homes of anyone that aids illegal migrants to enter the UK”.
The message said: “I represent the Patriots of the UK.
“Any attempt to allow vessels carrying illegal migrants to enter the port of Portsmouth will have severe consequences.
“We will target commercial shipping and also the homes of anyone that aids illegal migrants to enter the UK.
“You have been warned.”
It was received as Border Force brought about 140 migrants into Gosport in Portsmouth Harbour, sparking demonstrations that led to 12 arrests.
Assistant Chief Constable Simon Dodds said: “Violence and criminal damage have no part in peaceful protest, our position on this has been clear that we will investigate thoroughly and take robust action against anyone responsible.
“Last night saw a number of incidents that were clearly not peaceful protest, rather violent public disorder, and this will not be tolerated as we work to keep our wider communities in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight safe.
“Our officers did not deserve to be assaulted as they worked incredibly diligently on Sunday to ensure the safety of everyone in the area.
“Neither do they, or anyone from our partner agencies, deserve to be singled out online or subjected to abuse via social media.”
