A VAMPIRE Diaries star reunited with fellow cast members at a fan convention – making his first public appearance in five years.
Steven R. McQueen, 38, played Jeremy Gilbert in The CW series, which aired from 2009 to 2017.

The actor – who is the grandson of Hollywood legend Steve McQueen – joined former co-stars at the Forever Mystic Falls Fan Meet 7, in Paris.
His father was the late Chad McQueen, who played supporting antagonist Dutch in The Karate Kid.
Steven appeared at the convention alongside Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Kat Graham and Riley Voekel.
Steven’s last known social media post was back in 2021 – and he had not been frequenting the convention circuit.

He left The Vampire Diaries as a regular in season six, before guest starring in the eighth and final season.
Steven later played Jimmy Borelli in NBC‘s Chicago Fire from 2015 to 2016, with a guest role in Chicago P.D.
One fan wrote online: “My heart is so happy seeing him there!!!”
Another penned: “He’ll always be one of my faves from the vampire diaries.”
A third commented: “So excited to see him back, love him so muchhh.”
A fourth shared: “Good for him being back out there. Great guy.”
While a fifth chimed in: “We love you, Steven!!!”
McQueen has not commented publicly on his decision to step away from acting.
His last Instagram post in 2021 was to raise awareness for the Pacific Marine Mammal Center.
The Vampire Diaries’ emotional ending saw major characters Elena and Damon each reunited with their loved ones in the afterlife.
Writing online at the time, one viewer said: “The end of an era. My heart is breaking.”
Another penned: “#TVDForever IM FEELING TOO MANY THINGS AT ONCE WHERES MY HUMANITY SWITCH IT HURTS.”
While a third chimed in: “I donno why the title was “I was feeling epic” cause right now “I am feeling miserable.”
