Bayern Munich ‘to make Olise highest-paid star over Kane with £400k-a-week deal but want eye-watering release clause’

BAYERN MUNICH are set to offer Michael Olise a monster new contract which would make him the best-paid star at the club.

The winger is one of the best players on the planet and attracted even more attention after a stellar World Cup campaign with France.

And at 24 years old, the former Crystal Palace and Reading man represents not just elite output now, but well into the future.

It is no surprise that Bayern are therefore preparing to fight off interest in their man from Europe’s top clubs, with Real Madrid believed to be circling.

To do that, Diario AS report that the club are lining up a massive contract offer which would almost double his current almost £12m-per-year salary.

That number would jump to £21m for the year, which breaks down to more than £400,000-per-week.

That deal would make him the best-paid player at the club, surpassing superstar striker Harry Kane and midfield star Jamal Musiala.

But he is reportedly set on the inclusion of a release clause, despite Bayern’s hesitancy to grant such a clause.

The German giants are believed to value the star at around £170m, which would make him the second-most expensive signing of all time.

But Olise is said to be pushing for a lower fee according to the Spanish outlet.

Previous reports suggested that the winger was interested in a move to Jose Mourinho’s Madrid side.

There he would be able to link up with a number of his international team-mates, including Kylian Mbappe, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

But he is not in any immediate danger of leaving on a cut-price deal, with another three years to go on his current deal in Bavaria.
