THIS is the shocking moment a woman is caught allegedly unplugging a freezer in an ice cream shop to charge her phone – sparking a meltdown.

An unmanned ice cream kiosk in South Korea was plunged into chaos after the woman ripped out the electricity cable needed to keep the freezer cool.

An outraged post sharing photos of the suspected blunder – believed to have been shared by the shop owner – blasted the ice cream fiend.

The post said: “All the ice cream in the store melted, so we had to throw everything away.

“Legal action is now underway for business obstruction.”

Potential sales may have melted away following the supposed freezer unplugging.

CCTV photos show a woman in a white t-shirt and black trousers balancing her phone on top of the self-serve kiosk.

Circled in a red ring on the CCTV screenshot, the plug can be seen trailing on the floor after the woman allegedly walked off without sticking it back into the socket.

The business reportedly plans to sue the woman for business obstruction.

The suspected ice cream fiend has caught heat online with commentators slamming her as “mean and foolish”.

One said: “How does someone even think of unplugging a freezer?”

Another added:  “She’ll probably keep causing problems for other people with that kind of selfish behavior.”

But one pointed out: “I’m not saying that was a good thing, but
seriously, even in an unmanned store, not noticing until the ice cream had completely melted seems like a big sign of the owner’s negligence.”

Back in 2022 one woman in her 60s unplugged a freezer at an unmanned ice cream shop in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.

Around £280 worth of ice cream melted away.

The fiend was slapped with a suspended sentence of four months in prison.

It comes as two tourists complained that they had been tricked into paying £38 for just two ice creams after staff allegedly heaped the frosty scoops with costly toppings.

American holidaymaker Nicole Ann was left flabbergasted when she was billed the eye-watering sum in a gelato shop in Rome.

Each scoop cost £3.50 – but costs quickly spiralled out of control when staff began drizzling and sprinkling extra toppings over the sweet treats.
