Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal preview
Nottingham Forest host Arsenal in Sunday’s Premier League clash, with Oliver Glasner in desperate need of a morale-boosting victory.
The Premier League hasn’t been too kind to the Austrian of late.
Glasner has managed just five wins in 29 games since December 2025, while his win percentage during that spell stands at just 17% – the second-lowest of any manager with 20 or more games.
His side arrive down in 15th spot with just one win in their opening six matches, with only Tottenham having scored fewer goals.
That’s something of an anomaly, though, given their shot count, expected goals and big chances are the highest they’ve recorded in any of the last five seasons.
That, and the fact they’ve converted just 4.7% of their shots, was laid bare against Crystal Palace last time out.
The Tricky Trees created eight big chances but came away empty-handed – the first time a top-flight team had created that many big chances in a single match and still gone on to lose.
They’ll need to be ruthless this afternoon if they’re to get anything against an Arsenal side they’ve struggled against in recent years.
Nottingham Forest have won just one of their last 11 Premier League games against Arsenal and have failed to score in each of their last four.
That’s bad news against a Gunners side who’ve won 14 of their last 17 Premier League games and arrive on the back of successive victories over Leeds and Lille in the Champions League midweek.
Still, Arsenal are giving up more chances than usual and have gone 1-0 down in three of their last four Premier League matches.
