AMAZON are seeking a licence to make a killing — with James Bond-branded vapes, cocktail shakers and booze.
The retail giant’s film arm has filed trademark documents covering the world-famous spy’s name across a large range of goods and services.
Papers submitted to the UK Intellectual Property Office specify clothing, games, ice trays, bottle openers, drinking straws, combs, hair and toothbrushes.
There’s also the shaker, of course, as 007 is known for his love of “shaken, not stirred” vodka martinis.
The paperwork also covers restaurants, hotels, bars, beers, spirits, cigarette lighters and even c-cigs.
Bond fanatic Frank Cranfield, of Leeds, who spotted the public licensing paperwork, told The Sun: “Whoever thought Bond would have a ‘licence to vape’?
“It shows Amazon have long-term plans for our favourite British secret agent!”
Amazon MGM, Amazon’s TV and film subsidiary, has yet to name the next Bond as it prepares to launch a new 007 era but Scots actor Jack Lowden, 36, is the favourite.
The Scottish actor has already proved his credentials in Slow Horses, playing MI5 agent River Cartwright alongside Oldman’s foul-mouthed spymaster Jackson Lamb.
But stepping into Bond’s famous tuxedo would be a very different mission.
Amazon MGM has assembled an A-list team for the next 007 adventure, with Dune director Denis Villeneuve behind the camera and Steven Knight – creator of Peaky Blinders – writing the screenplay.
Knight has revealed that the first draft of the new Bond script is already finished and hinted that he has written with the eventual star partly in mind.
