Frank Warren eyeing huge title unification fights for Daniel Dubois after demolishing Fabio Wardley in rematch

DANIEL DUBOIS can look forward to mega-money fights and title unifications after emphatically closing the chapter on his Fabio Wardley rivalry.

Dubois got up from the canvas twice in May to stop Wardley in 11 rounds to win the WBO belt.

But he finished the job in just two rounds in the O2 rematch five months later – having dropped Wardley in the opening 16 SECONDS.

Filip Hrgovic – who stunned 21-year-old Moses Itauma to win the IBF title in August – got in the ring to face off with Dubois – the only man to beat him.

The Croatian, 34, has to first face mandatory challenger Frank Sanchez, also 34, but a huge rematch with Dubois could follow.

Promoter Frank Warren told SunSport: “He’s got a mandatory obligation with Frank Sanchez who stood aside to allow him to fight Moses.

“So that I believe we can get on and we’re trying to get it on in Croatia. And then after that, no problem because we’re all about the champions fighting each other.

“The best fighting the best to find out who is the best.”

Dubois, 29, stopped Hrgovic in eight rounds in 2024 but the Croat bounced back to stun Itauma, 21, to become world champ.

Agit Kabayel, 33, is the WBC champ also signed to Warren who defends his belt against Nelson Hysa, 42, on November 28 in Germany.

Anthony Joshua, 37, and Tyson Fury, 38, also fight for the WBA title in their December 11 grudge match which Dubois will also have a keen eye on.

Warren added: “They’re fighting men and they’re tough guys. They’re fighting men and let’s see what happens in that fight.

“I mean, I believe that Tyson will win. I don’t think, I think Daniel against AJ, I think he beats him all day long. He’s already done it.

“It would be huge. But we’ll see what happens. Let’s get all these fights out the way first of all. Get this year out the way.”
