Here’s how rapper Aitch is making Cheryl smile again as she makes comeback on The Voice – and her secret plans for chart return

WHEN it comes to those who deserve a happy ever after, Cheryl Tweedy is undoubtedly at the top of the list.

The pop star, 43, has suffered more than her fair share of heartbreak, from being publicly humiliated by first husband Ashley Cole to the devastating loss of ex-boyfriend Liam Payne, the father of her nine-year-old son Bear.

Cheryl hasn’t had a public relationship since splitting from One Direction singer Liam in 2018 but, after landing a huge new role as one of the coaches on The Voice UK, The Sun understands she’s got a spring back in her step – and it’s thanks to co-star and rapper Aitch, 26.

We’re told the cheeky star wasted no time in sparking up some light-hearted flirty banter with Call My Name hitmaker Cheryl and, while they both know it’s just a bit of fun, the attention has put the smile back on her face.

A well-placed source said: “Cheryl wouldn’t go there with Aitch, he’s more like a cheeky little brother but she loves his energy and is flattered that he pays her compliments.

“Aitch is always respectful and would never over step the mark, but he’s slightly star-struck to be working with Cheryl – and who can blame him.”

Cheryl and Aitch have joined her long-time friend will.i.am and Destiny’s Child icon Kelly Rowland on the panel and it’s no secret that the Black Eyed Peas frontman has spent years trying to convince the former Girls Aloud singer to do the show.

And we’re told Will, 51, has a new plan to get Cheryl back in the studio and back to the top of the charts.

The duo previously worked together on his hit Heartbreaker and the title track to her 2009 debut solo album, 3 Words.

“Will is taking advantage of Cheryl finally giving in to joining him on The Voice and has been urging her to work with him in the studio again,” our source said.

“She was on the fence at first but Cheryl knows she’s running out of reasons not to.

“Cheryl knows she and Will work well together when it comes to making music. He’s a genius and she’s the perfect pop star. It’s a match made in heaven.”

The Sun has contacted Cheryl’s representative for comment.
