Strictly star ‘confirms’ she was Shirley Ballas’ stunt double for chaotic ‘worm’ performance that left fans stunned

ONE of the stars of Strictly have ‘confirmed’ that they were Shirley Ballas’ stunt double for her chaotic yet killer performance of the ‘worm’.

On Sunday night’s show a special pre-recorded group dance was played, where Shirley and Anton performed a spontaneous dance battle.

The routine involved Shirley getting down to the floor to do the worm and then rolling into a cartwheel.

To round off the already shocking stunt, she then did a backflip.

Fans of the show have since been wondering who Shirley’s stunt double for the routine was – and now Alexis Warr seems to have hinted it was her.

A viewer posted a clip of the moment where “Shirley” did a backflip onto Reddit alongside a remark of disbelief.

It read: “No way is this Shirley Ballas at an amazing 66 years old. I mean fair play if it was.”

Professional dancer Alexis then cheekily dropped a comment which has since gathered hundreds of “likes”.

The star quipped back: “I was thinking the same thing.”

Many fans were speculating who the undercover doppelganger may have been though, with one user saying: “I think it was Neil in a wig.”

Another chimed in: “Many are saying it’s Alexis in a black wig and I believe it is, she can do acrobatics.”

A third added: “I want to believe it was Shirley, but it probably wasn’t.”

Shirley has been a member of the Strictly panel since series 15 of the show hit screens back in 2017.

Two years later she began the role of “head judge”, which formerly belonged to Len Goodman.
