The Beyond Fest 2026 lineup has officially arrived, promising a massive celebration of genre cinema for Los Angeles audiences. Running from September 23 through October 6, the festival features an expansive 81-film program that balances world premieres with rare restorations and special guest appearances. The event is set to open with Lance Oppenheim’s Primetime and will conclude with the closing night screening of Bassam Tariq’s Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother.
A Diverse Slate of Premieres and Special Screenings
This year’s edition includes 10 world premieres and four North American premieres. Among the most anticipated world premieres is V/H/S/Mixtape, the latest installment in the long-running horror anthology series. This entry features a collaborative effort from filmmakers including Ernest Dickerson, Flying Lotus, Tobias Forge, David Moreau, RZA, and Renee Zhan. Other notable inclusions for the L.A. crowd are screenings of Victorian Psycho, Paper Tiger, and Alex Gibney’s new documentary, Musk. Television fans can also look forward to the first two episodes of Mike Flanagan’s upcoming series, Carrie.

The festival’s programming extends beyond standard screenings with several high-profile in-person events. Robert Eggers is scheduled to take over the Egyptian Theatre to screen his filmography in order, including The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, and Nosferatu, while also providing a sneak peek at his upcoming project, Werwulf. Additionally, M. Night Shyamalan will be in attendance for a personal retrospective. Other notable guests expected to appear include Jamie Lee Curtis, Danny DeVito, Al Pacino, and Dolph Lundgren.
Beyond Fest is presented by Mubi and produced in partnership with the American Cinematheque. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the American Cinematheque to support their ongoing efforts in film preservation and exhibition. Screenings will be held across several iconic venues, including the Egyptian Theatre, the Mubi Theatre at the Aero, Directors Village, and the Mubi Theatre at the Los Feliz 3.
