Mattel’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer Polly Pocket recreates moments from the classic series

Mattel will launch a Polly Pocket Buffy the Vampire Slayer Compact set on September 4. The set costs $33 and turns beloved TV show characters into miniaturized versions. It includes micro figures of Buffy, Willow, and Xander from the core Scoobies group. The compact features iconic locations from the series across its two halves. Notably, the top half showcases scenes from Sunnydale High, the gang’s home base throughout the show. Meanwhile, the bottom half recreates Restfield Cemetery, which even includes Buffy’s grave from the series.

Additionally, Mattel packs the set with show-inspired accessories for added detail. A mini stake and a Vampyr book accompany the micro figures inside the compact. The product listing encourages fans to place the micro figures into eerie scenes from Sunnydale High, as well as Restfield Cemetery, the site of many of Buffy’s most epic showdowns. The set captures the essence of the show’s dark yet campy aesthetic in a portable, miniature form.

Expanding the Slayer collection with Monster High

Beyond the Polly Pocket set, a Monster High Skullector 2-pack featuring Buffy and Angel also arrives. That set costs $98 and dresses both dolls in 90s-chic faux-leather outfits. It includes a stake, crossbow accessories, a Slayer handbook purse, and a sword necklace. Monster High announced the Skullector dolls on Instagram, where the post quickly gained massive traction, racking up over 123,000 likes within just a few hours of the reveal.

These releases highlight the enduring popularity of the franchise. By blending the aesthetic of classic toy lines like Polly Pocket and Monster High with the dark, supernatural themes of the series, Mattel is tapping into a deep well of fan nostalgia. Both the Monster High and Polly Pocket sets go on sale at the Mattel shop on September 4 at 9 AM PT. For fans looking to add a unique piece of memorabilia to their collection, these items offer a creative way to celebrate the legacy of the Slayer and her friends.
