Hua Hin Today appoints new event manager
Punyisa “Pukky” Chalauysophon has been appointed as the new Hua Hin Today event manager, taking responsibility for the media outlet’s expanding programme of business and community events.
A familiar figure in Hua Hin, Punyisa brings experience in organising wine events, running events and local tours.
Her professional background also includes working as a nurse and licensed tour guide. She has also completed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 2 Award in Wines.
New event manager to lead Why Hua Hin expo
Punyisa’s first major project will be Why Hua Hin? The Hua Hin Expo 2026, which will be held at the Hua Hin Convention Centre at Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall, on 14 and 15 November.
The two-day expo will bring together Thai residents, expats, investors, retirees, tourists, business owners and people considering Hua Hin as a place to live, work or invest.
It will feature businesses and organisations across seven main sectors: Property & Investment, Hospitality & Tourism, Wellness & Healthcare, Expat Living, Lifestyle & Services, Food & Beverage and Active Lifestyle.
Speaking at the Hua Hin Today Connect business networking event, where her appointment was announced to members of the local business community, Chalauysophon said successful events could deliver benefits beyond the event itself.
“Great events are more than just one day of fun or making money,” she said. “They bring people together, create new friendships, support local businesses and help build a stronger community.”
Jonathan Fairfield, editor-in-chief of Hua Hin Today, said the appointment formed part of plans to grow the Hua Hin Today team and expand its programme of events.
“We are delighted to welcome Pukky to the team and are really excited about Why Hua Hin? The Hua Hin Expo,” he said. “It will be the first event of its kind in Hua Hin, bringing together local businesses, organisations and members of the community to showcase the very best of the area.”
As Hua Hin Today event manager, Punyisa will oversee the planning and delivery of the expo while working with local businesses, community groups, exhibitors and other partners.
