Police Intensify Search for Missing Russian Siblings Near Pattaya as Mother Pleads for Their Safe Return
Huai Yai, Chonburi – July 28, 2026 – Officers from Huai Yai Police Station have mobilized investigators in an urgent effort to locate two Russian siblings who vanished from their home in Moo 7, Huai Yai Subdistrict, in the early hours of July 26. Family members remain deeply anxious as closed-circuit television footage has revealed a suspicious motorcycle that appeared to trail the pair before they disappeared.
The missing persons are Miss Iana Nazimova, 22, and her teen brother Mr. Roman Nazimova, 17. The siblings left their residence saying they were going to a convenience store around 4:00 a.m. riding a black-and-gray Honda ADV 160 motorcycle bearing Chonburi license plate 4กษ 6379. They have not been seen or heard from since and failed to return home.
Police recently questioned their mother, Ms. Sarina Nazimova, 40, for additional details. Through an interpreter, she explained that on the morning in question her son and daughter left the house dressed in casual clothes and carrying their mobile phones. She believed they intended to visit a nearby convenience store. When they did not return, she contacted friends and acquaintances and searched for them herself without success before filing a missing-person report.
Ms. Nazimova said the family has lived in Thailand since 2018, with her children joining her in 2021. She noted that the siblings speak only Russian and English and are unable to communicate in Thai. Visibly distressed, she pleaded with authorities to bring her children home safely, admitting she is under severe stress, unable to eat or sleep, and praying only that they are still alive.
CCTV footage shows the pair leaving the village at 4:02 a.m. and heading toward Ban Amphoe–Chak Ngaeo Road. They later appeared under the Chak Ngaeo motorway bridge, where they stopped and spoke with an unidentified person for more than two minutes. Another motorcycle was then seen following them closely at several points before the siblings vanished from view.
In a separate development, a member of the public reported seeing the missing pair’s motorcycle in the possession of a man who claimed he had received it as payment for a 60,000-baht debt. Police are verifying the claim and have not yet confirmed any connection to the disappearance.
Investigators continue to examine CCTV recordings and gather evidence. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information or sightings of the two Russian siblings. Tips can be reported to Huai Yai Police Station around the clock to help reunite the family as quickly as possible. The pictures of the missing youth have been publicly released by police and the family. Those with tips can contact the numbers in the photos.
