Jacob Elordi details real snake ordeal in Euphoria scene

Actor Jacob Elordi has candidly opened up about the grueling, claustrophobic reality behind filming his character Nate Jacobs’ gruesome death scene on Euphoria, revealing he spent two full days locked in a coffin with a live reptile. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, hosted by his co-star Colman Domingo, Elordi discussed the extreme measures taken by series creator Sam Levinson to write off his polarizing character. Nate’s storyline reached a dark conclusion when he was buried alive by a gangster over a debt and subsequently killed by a snake bite while confined underground. Elordi joked about the demanding nature of his final weeks on set, quipping that Levinson brought him back specifically to torture him after weeks of continuous physical beatings and action sequences. ”I got locked in a coffin for two days straight with prosthetics and a fake tongue, and I couldn’t see out of my eyes. And then Sam put snakes into the coffin.” The sequence involved a real snake slithering down an air pipe into the tightly enclosed space. While the scene portrayed a deadly, aggressive rattlesnake on screen, the production actually utilized a docile boa constrictor fitted with a prosthetic rattler for the close-up interactions. Despite the sensory deprivation and intense claustrophobia required for the shot, Elordi admitted he surprisingly found the experience somewhat peaceful, noting that his serpentine scene partner proved far less threatening than anticipated. The actor revealed the snake was so calm that he had to physically nudge it during takes to get it to move and act menacingly for the camera. ”He had a very nice personality. He was very docile and very sleepy… He just kept curling up at my feet.” Elordi added that performing non-verbal reactions while trapped in the box made the physical strain easier to manage, calling the dramatic send-off a unique and memorable way to close his time on the hit series.

Cher forced to pay legal fees after winning royalty battle

Pop icon Cher has secured a major legal victory against her late ex-husband’s widow over music royalties, but the win has arrived alongside an expensive setback that leaves the singer absorbing over $1 million in legal fees. The long-running dispute stems from a multi-year courtroom battle between Cher and Mary Bono, the widow of her former musical partner and ex-husband, Sonny Bono. Following their 1978 divorce, Cher was granted a permanent 50 percent stake in the composition and recording royalties generated by the iconic duo’s music catalog, including timeless classics like “I Got You Babe” and “The Beat Goes On.” However, tension flared in 2016 when Mary Bono attempted to invoke termination provisions under federal copyright law, which allow original creators and their surviving heirs to reclaim copyright grants after a specified window of time. Relying on this provision, royalty payments to Cher were eventually halted in 2021, prompting the singer to file a lawsuit in federal court to enforce her long-standing rights. In late 2025, U.S. District Judge John A. Kronstadt ruled decisively in Cher’s favor, affirming that her right to receive a share of the song royalties was a binding contractual obligation established during her 1978 divorce settlement rather than a copyright grant subject to termination. As part of that decision, Cher was awarded over $418,000 in withheld composition royalties, confirming her ongoing entitlement to collect her share directly. Following that victory, Cher’s legal team filed a motion seeking to recoup $1,023,605 in attorney fees from Mary Bono, arguing that the widow had unnecessarily prolonged the litigation by introducing frivolous defenses. However, in a newly issued ruling, Judge Kronstadt denied Cher’s request for legal fee reimbursement. The judge clarified that because the lawsuit turned on interpreting California state contract law rather than federal copyright law, the automatic fee-shifting provisions typical of federal copyright cases did not apply. Consequently, Cher remains responsible for covering the substantial $1 million legal bill accumulated over four years of intense courtroom maneuvering. Despite the heavy financial cost of the litigation, the core ruling protects Cher’s long-term rights to the lucrative Sonny & Cher music catalog, ensuring her financial interests remain fully intact moving forward.

Preity Zinta backs CJP protest and urges government dialogue

Actor Preity Zinta has publicly voiced her support for students demonstrating under the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) banner, urging the Indian government to initiate “meaningful dialogue” with student bodies and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk to resolve the ongoing crisis surrounding competitive exam paper leaks. Taking to social media, Zinta expressed deep concern over the health of Wangchuk, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike demanding accountability and comprehensive educational reforms following widespread irregularities in the NEET-UG examination. Urging the activist to prioritize his well-being, the actor appealed for an immediate end to his fast while affirming her solidarity with the youth movement: ”I hope our govt starts a meaningful dialogue with Sonam Wangchuk and the student bodies so his health does not deteriorate any further! Please end your fast Sonam. Your health is as important as this fight. You and the students are fighting for the future of India and for our youth. My heartfelt & unwavering support to every student & to Sonam in this fight to uplift & upgrade our educational system.” The CJP-led demonstrations at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar escalated dramatically following a police crackdown and lathi-charge on peaceful student marchers, triggering widespread outrage across civil society and the entertainment fraternity. Addressing the growing unrest, Zinta issued a follow-up statement stressing the need to protect the genuine intent of the movement while cautioning against violence or political exploitation. She emphasized that while demanding reforms and holding authorities accountable is essential for the nation’s future, peaceful protests must remain focused on their core objective and avoid being manipulated by disruptive elements. Reaffirming her faith in democratic institutions, law, and order, she appealed to both authorities and student representatives to enter into constructive discussions to restore stability and secure better educational standards for the nation’s youth. Zinta’s intervention joins a swell of public support from prominent cultural figures—including veteran actors Shabana Azmi and Prakash Raj, actor Imran Khan, and singer Diljit Dosanjh—who have collectively called on leadership to engage constructively with the country’s students rather than resorting to force. With public pressure mounting and health concerns for key activists intensifying, calls for immediate government dialogue have moved to the forefront of the national debate.

Jennifer Garner recalls intense paparazzi harassment

Hollywood actor Jennifer Garner has opened up about the intense and terrifying experiences she faced with paparazzi during her marriage to ex-husband Ben Affleck, highlighting the extreme measures photogs took to capture images of her young children. The 53-year-old actress recalled how the non-stop presence of relentless photographers created an unsafe and hostile environment for her family on a daily basis. Garner revealed that paparazzi would frequently aggressive crowd her children, causing chaos in public settings to get marketable shots. In several terrifying incidents, photogs physically knocked over children just to snap photos of her three kids—Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. The constant invasion of privacy and safety concerns eventually led Garner to join forces with fellow actor Halle Berry to actively advocate for legal reforms in California. The duo lobbied heavily for state legislation to curb aggressive celebrity photography, resulting in an anti-paparazzi bill that criminalized photographing or videotaping children without parental consent. Reflecting on her public life, Garner emphasized the distinct line between her career choice and her family’s right to privacy. While accepting that public scrutiny comes with acting, she noted that her children are private citizens who suffered trauma from being hunted by gangs of aggressive photographers everywhere they went. Her legal advocacy helped set a critical precedent for protecting celebrity children from aggressive press tactics across the entertainment industry.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey faces intense backlash

Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s high-budget cinematic adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek poem, The Odyssey, has found itself at the center of growing pre-release backlash and social media debate. Despite being one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the year, the star-studded epic has drawn heavy scrutiny ranging from casting choices to historical inaccuracies and filming locations. The film, which stars Matt Damon in the lead role of Odysseus alongside an ensemble cast including Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, and Zendaya, first sparked heated debate online following casting announcements. Much of the criticism from conservative commentators and online users focused on Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o playing Helen of Troy and her half-sister Clytemnestra, with high-profile figures like Elon Musk accusing the production of altering character demographics to fulfill industry diversity criteria. Unsubstantiated rumors that trans actor Elliot Page was playing Achilles further fueled online uproar, though Page was actually cast as the soldier Sinon. Beyond casting, eagle-eyed viewers raised questions regarding creative choices seen in the promotional trailers. Critics pointed out perceived anachronisms, including the appearance of Viking longships—which existed centuries after the Mycenaean Greek era—along with modernized dialogue and non-traditional armor designs. Nolan defended these artistic decisions by explaining that his choice of modern-sounding dialogue aims to convey emotional resonance rather than strict historical mimicry, noting that ancient Greek oral traditions share similarities with modern vocal styles. The production has also drawn criticism from international human rights advocates. Human rights campaigners and Sahrawi activists raised concerns over the decision to shoot portions of the film in occupied Western Sahara, alleging that using the region as a film set inadvertently offers legitimacy to the ongoing Moroccan occupation. In response to the pre-release commentary, Nolan dismissed the online noise as “irrelevant”. Drawing on his experience directing The Dark Knight trilogy, the director emphasized that adapting a beloved classic always comes with strong public opinions before audiences have seen the final product. He noted that his primary goal was to honor Homer’s original text by offering a sincere, visually ambitious interpretation created specifically for the grandest theater formats. Despite the surrounding discourse, industry analysts expect The Odyssey to deliver massive box-office results, driven by Nolan’s reputation for technical filmmaking and high-concept storytelling. This video is relevant because it provides an in-depth news breakdown of the pre-release controversies, human rights boycott calls, and social media reactions surrounding the film.

Arsalan Butt addresses impact of Mamya Shajaffar’s allegations

Pakistani actor Arsalan Butt has spoken out regarding the severe emotional, professional, and personal toll he experienced following serious workplace harassment allegations made against him by fellow actress and model Mamya Shajaffar. The controversy originally erupted when Shajaffar appeared as a guest on host Iffat Omar’s digital talk show, Say It All, where she detailed a series of uncomfortable experiences with a co-star identified simply as “Arsalan”. During the interview, Shajaffar described instances where her co-star allegedly made unsolicited remarks regarding her physical appearance, exhibited aggressive behavior during an argument, and attempted physical contact despite her explicit objections. While the initial vague naming prompted social media speculation that pointed toward actor Arsalan Khan, Shajaffar quickly clarified online that her allegations were directed at Arsalan Butt, her co-star from the television drama Meesni. Following the viral interview, Butt categorically denied all charges, characterizing the allegations as entirely false, malicious, and damaging to his character. Speaking on the fallout, the actor shared how the immediate public backlash and relentless online commentary deeply impacted his mental well-being, disrupted his professional commitments, and caused distress to his family. Butt expressed disappointment over what he described as a growing culture of bringing sensitive workplace grievances to public talk shows and social media platforms rather than filing formal complaints through proper administrative or legal channels at the time of occurrence. He noted that unproven public claims carry devastating consequences for an artist’s livelihood and reputation. Seeking legal recourse, Butt initiated formal proceedings by sending Shajaffar a legal notice demanding an immediate retraction of the statements, the removal of online video clips, and an unconditional public apology. Shajaffar responded by serving a Rs 1 billion counter-notice, asserting that Butt’s legal action was an effort to silence and intimidate her after alleged workplace misconduct. After weeks of public and legal hostility, both performers eventually opted to end the dispute through an out-of-court settlement. Facilitated by project director Meer Sikandar alongside industry elders and mutual mediators, the actors signed a joint agreement withdrawing all notices, complaints, and past allegations. The document specified that the resolution did not signify an admission of guilt, misconduct, or liability from either party. Reflecting on the ordeal, Butt emphasized the necessity of due process and constructive communication in resolving industry conflicts, acknowledging that while the matter is legally closed, the experience highlighted the extreme volatility of social media narratives in shaping public perception. This video is relevant because it provides an in-depth news coverage detailing Arsalan Butt breaking his silence regarding Mamya Shajaffar’s allegations and the subsequent legal notice.

Dr Nabiha Ali Khan addresses Haris Khokhar’s divorce notice

Social media personality and medical professional Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan has formally addressed receiving a divorce notice from her husband, Haris Khokhar, bringing a definitive end to months of intense public speculation surrounding their fractured marriage. The couple, whose lavish wedding celebrations previously went viral across Pakistani digital platforms, found themselves at the center of overwhelming online scrutiny following rumors of a rift. Public concern intensified after Dr. Nabiha spoke candidly during a live television appearance, breaking down in tears as she detailed severe emotional distress and alleged ongoing interference from her in-laws. Confirming the latest legal developments, Dr. Nabiha acknowledged the receipt of the formal divorce notice initiated by Khokhar, stating that personal differences and mounting friction had made reconciliation impossible. She shared that despite making genuine efforts to preserve her home and prioritize family life over her professional commitments, the relationship deteriorated beyond repair. The dispute sparked a fierce online debate, particularly after Khokhar issued public statements refuting his wife’s claims. Denying allegations of mistreatment, Khokhar maintained that his family had been unfairly maligned on live broadcasts and asserted that the decision to part ways stemmed from irreconcilable personal incompatibilities rather than domestic misconduct. Responding to the ongoing media storm, Dr. Nabiha voiced deep frustration over how their private ordeal has been monetized by content creators and digital news outlets. She issued a direct plea to netizens and social media commentators, asking them to refrain from sensationalizing the dissolution of her marriage for online engagement. ”I request everyone to please stop making content out of our personal life. This is a private family matter, and turning someone’s emotional pain into social media debate is deeply unfair. I built my home with love, and despite the differences that led us here, I ask that people respect both sides and refrain from spreading further hostility.” Reflecting on the painful transition, Dr. Nabiha emphasized that while she had consistently hoped for a peaceful resolution, the legal notice officially sets the divorce process in motion. She urged her followers and the wider public to give both families the necessary space and privacy to navigate the formal legal proceedings dignifiedly without enduring further public trials on social media.
