Netflix is Finally Streaming 2026’s Biggest Anime So It’s The Perfect Time to Catch Up
The biggest action anime of the year is now finally streaming with Netflix, and that means it’s now the perfect time to go back and catch up with it all. It’s been a great year for anime thus far, and there are still many major shows that fans are excited to check out through the rest of the Summer and Fall seasons. There are so many in fact that it can be tough to actually keep track of every major show that has already hit so far. That includes the biggest franchise out there right now.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 originally made its debut earlier this year, and wrapped up its run as one of the most explosive anime of the year. Now even more fans will get the chance to check it out and catch up with everything that’s happened so far as Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is now streaming with Netflix. It’s a new batch of episodes with English and Japanese language audio, so there’s no better time to jump in.
What’s Going on in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 impressed fans with some of the biggest moments of the anime to date. That might have seemed impossible given everything that happened during the Shibuya Incident seen in the second season of the series, but the third season ratches things up even further as Kenjaku’s schemes enter their next phase. A deadly tournament begins with all sorts of new characters thrown into the fray, and many of them have unlocked their powers for the very first time.
The Culling Game arc not only introduces a whole new batch of characters who unlocked their powers as a result of the Shibuya Incident, but also resurrects a ton of past sorcerers from Sukuna’s era as part of Kenjaku’s bigger plan for the tournament. Yuji and Megumi get into their first major fights, but there are still many other fights yet to be seen as the Culling Game arc will be kicking off its second phase with the now in the works fourth season of the anime.
When Does Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Come Out?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Part 2 is now in the works, but has yet to confirm a release date or window as of the time of this writing. It will once again by produced by Studio MAPPA, but will feature new director Takeru Sato taking over from Shota Goshozono seen in the third season. Sato was an assistant director on the third season, so fans worried about the coming season likely don’t have much to worry about heading into what’s next.
The third season ends on a pretty big cliffhanger as it’s clear that the Culling Game has really only begun, so fans can expect to see all sorts of new fights in the next season. Though Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 will likely make its debut with other streaming platforms long before it comes to Netflix, its streaming update for the third season is a promising step forward.
