Supergirl Digital & 4k Release Date & Extras Confirmed – Watch an Exclusive Featurette About Adapting the Comic
DC fans eager to make sure that their movie shelf at home finally has something to go alongside James Gunn’s Superman are in luck. Warner Bros. and DC Studios have confirmed that Supergirl is flying home soon, revealing that the new movie will debut Digitally, on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango, and more next Tuesday, July 28. The wait for the physical release will be a little longer, though; Supergirl will officially debut on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on Tuesday, September 8.
The best news, though, is that the release won’t arrive with just the movie. Fans of behind-the-scenes media will be delighted to know that Supergirl has over 90 minutes of bonus features that will be included on the digital, 4k, and Blu-ray releases, nearly matching the runtime for the movie itself. ComicBook also has an exclusive look at one of these featurettes, with a clip from the “Flying Off the Page” video, showing off the process of adapting Bilquis Evely and Tom King’s comic into a movie, including footage of screenwriter Ana Nogueira visiting set for the first time.
