Motorola’s ‘Razr Flex’ could beat the iPhone Duo where it matters most You Should Know
Specifications for Motorola’s previously revealed wide foldable have leaked online, giving us an idea of how it might stack up to the competition.
Motorola had teased that it was working on a wide foldable shortly following the iPhone Duo launch, but all we got at the time was the merest glimpse of a silhouette (see below) and a few suggestive words.

Now, Android Headlines has published what it clams to be initial specifications for a phone that’s apparently being referred to internally as the Motorola Razr Flex. And the early signs are very encouraging.
Motorola Razr Flex specs
According to the report, the so-called Razr Flex will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, just like the Motorola Razr Fold before it.
That’s not ideal given the recent reveal of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, but presumably it’ll have a positive knock-on effect to the pricing. Which is a bit of a running theme here.
This will be backed by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage. Again, a relatively conservative spec, though it’s possible there will be more storage options.

It will have Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and LE Audio though. Qi2 charging is said to be onboard too.
Motorola Razr Flex display and design
The main internal display will be a 6.92-inch 1728 x 2364 OLED, which is notably smaller than the 7.6-inch displays of the iPhone Duo and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. This one will have an elevated 165Hz maximum refresh rate – to what end we’re not sure.
When closed, the Flex will sport a small and stubby 4.97-inch OLED screen with a 1736 x 1140 resolution.

It’s not going to be the most compact foldable of its kind, despite those smaller displays.
With dimensions of 110 x 149 x 5.8mm when unfolded and 110 x 76 x 12.6mm when folded, it’s going to be quite a bit thicker than its rivals (especially the Samsung). Meanwhile a weight of 215g is much lighter than the iPhone Duo, but still heavier than the (201g) Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.
Motorola phones are known for their tasteful Pantone-approved colour options, and there’ll be two available with the Flex: Pantone Coriander and Pantone Dark Botanical Garden.
Dust resistance isn’t among the best that we’ve seen from a foldable, with IP48 and IP49 ratings reported.
Motorola Razr Flex battery and camera
There’ll be a 5,000mAh battery onboard, apparently, which would be a smidgen bigger than the Fold 8’s. It’d probably be larger the iPhone Duo’s, too, even though Apple never officially reveals capacities.
Expect a pair of 50Mp cameras around back, with an ultra-wide joining the standard snapper. Digital zoom will extend to 30x, apparently.
The launch window seems set for some time in mid-December, though that’s by no means confirmed.
Still, if it is indeed significantly cheaper, the Motorola Razr Flex could well be a tempting alternative to its pricey rivals. For that reason alone, it’s worth keeping a close eye on.
