This Apple Watch Series 11 deal could finally tempt me to upgrade
If your old Apple Watch is struggling to make it through the day, there’s a tempting upgrade in Amazon’s Prime Day sale. The Series 11 Apple Watch deal brings longer battery life and faster charging than many older models, along with a screen that’s better equipped to shrug off scratches.

The 42mm GPS model is down to £259 for Prime members – that’s £60 off Amazon’s listed £319 RRP, or roughly 19 per cent, for those who want the numerical specifics. That price is for the Space Grey aluminium case with a black Sport Band in S/M, which fits wrists measuring 130–180mm.
There’s plenty to like beyond the discount. In Stuff’s Apple Watch buying guide, we praised the Series 11’s polished software, health tracking, and improved battery life. It’s a useful combination for anyone who wants to track a workout, check messages, and pay for a coffee without constantly reaching for their iPhone.
Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours of normal use, with a 15-minute fast charge providing up to eight hours more. You’ll still need a regular charging routine, but a quick top-up makes it easier to wear thce watch overnight for sleep tracking. The sleep score gives you a simple way to keep tabs on how well you’re sleeping, too.
The always-on OLED screen reaches up to 2000 nits, while Apple says the aluminium model’s Ion-X glass is twice as scratch-resistant as the Series 10’s.
Health features include heart-rate monitoring, ECG, and blood oxygen tracking. Built-in GPS records your outdoor workouts, and the 50m water-resistance rating makes it suitable for swimming. This is the GPS version, though, so don’t mistake it for the cellular model that can stay connected away from your phone or Wi-Fi.
You’ll need a compatible iPhone – Android owners are out of luck. But if you’re already using an older Apple Watch and its battery is wearing thin, this is a worthwhile deal to consider.
